This is the first place I was thinking of putting the Potbelly stove obviously the shelving will need to go or be moved aswell as all the stuff on the floor as its in the center of the N/S wall, what do you think
Yippee one of those Machine Mart V.A.T. free day cards has just landed through the door for 2/1/2017 and 8/1/2017 and I get paid on the 6th so I will be getting it and if not all but some of the flue stuff aswell
Yeah I am not saying it won't be hot in there but my garage isn't insulated and probably never will be other than where the burner will be going to stop the walls from getting to hot
Yeah its looking like I probably will anyway as there won't be much to secure the battery properly so more then lightly it will be coming off but I will let my son see it first
Hi guys
The O/S steel engine mounting the bit that fits under the rubber mount and bolts to the chassis are the still available as I seem to have mislaid mine or possible left it on the old chassis which is what I think I have done
A couple of pic's of the battery tray cut down to allow the tdi engine to fit in, although its not toughing its still close so I will cut it down some more or decide if its worth saving it and cut it off all together and fit the battery under the seat
Had a good way up as to where it is going and decided on fitting it into the back left hand corner, just need to move my shelving over by a couple of foot that way I won't need to use as much flue
Cleaned everything down the other day and today started fitting everything back on, adaptor plate, flywheel and clutch assy on, timing belt on and tensioned, just got to put the head on yet
Just got back from Machine Mart and looked at all the log burners they had the wentwerth was a bit small in size saw a billingham I quite liked then spotted a nice big popbellied one 9.2kw with a hot plate for just under £300 so we decided on this instead, can't wait now
Yeah they do those VAT free days every now and then but the next one will probable be when the weather is warmer and I won't get one then and I can't wait till then so looking at getting one next month but just going looking today and get an idea, when I get it my mate is going to build me a brick pedestal to stand it on so it's easier to load up and clean out but still need to decide where it's going first
Hi guys
I don't normally buy them but I am looking for off road sites that are open over the festive season and just wondered which mag to buy that has all the off road dates in any idea's
Cheer's Snagger I did think of that but not had chance to try it yet, with my last one when I converted my s11a swb to a Disco 200 I just did what everyone else said and lobbed it off just above the chassis then once the engine was in I realised I didn't need to do that but it was too late and fitted the battery under the passenger seat but I don't want to do that this time so I will do as you said
Hi guys
If all goes well this weekend I will be fitting the 200tdi engine into the new galv chassis and just asking before I start trying to get it in but is it at all possible to keep the battery tray where it is or does it really need to be mod'd or removed to get the engine in
If the shaft and nut size is the same u should be ok, I have a corded 9" grinder and a 4.5" grinder and when I wear a 9" disc down small enough I can use the same disc on the 4.5" grinder a bit of messing about swapping the disc over but saves wasting discs
Yeah if it's warm I would be happy if it's hot I will just have to have the small entrance door open slightly on a hook or look into fitting a couple of sliding vents but I will see how it is first
That's the thing when I go in the garage it's normally on my days off so I am in there all day so I need constant heat it's not often I go in there for short periods of time
