  1. i have the brunell one in my disco (standard end caps with a high flow core fitted) and tbh im not sure its worth the money as the improvenment isnt too great (over stock) but as it came fitted to the car i dont mind lol so would defo agree with white90 100% on this rob
  2. i have fitted loads to normal cars and they are just a far eastern budget new tyre seem ok for the money but no idea how they perform on a rangie rob
  3. hi all following on from my other post about what freelander my mate could buy with his dosh i now need to know what to check lol the car in question is a 54 plate v6 es auto 3dr i know to check all elecs and feel for vibrations from driveline and scrubbing on full lock and im very aware of the kv6 engine (ex rover tech) i have told him a td4 may well be better but he is keen on a v6 lol so any specifics i need to check?? thanks rob
  4. most normal wheel studs are just knock out but as thats a bolt head i would try to undo it first couldnt hurt anyway rob

  8. hi all im asking a question for my friend here so bear with me he is thinking of getting a freelander in the near future and we are wondering what he will get for his money he is looking for a 3 door auto (better spec is better) not fussy on engine and has £5 to 6k to spend what can he expect for his money?? thanks rob and anyone selling a black 3 door auto in good nick drop me a pm lol
  9. hi all i have posted this hear as i beleve it covers most models my disco rear half shafts (98 300 tdi) have the type with the flange as part of the shaft where as my mates one has the type with the seperate drive flange ?? is there any benifit in one type over the other? just curious is all thanks rob
  10. ill second the terrafirma vote too fitted them all round on my d1 (steering damper too) with bearmach hd standard height springs and very happy with the results. i fitted the same springs but with procomps on my rrc and that didnt feel as good rob
  11. my disco had general uhp,s on it when i got it then we had snow the snow in feb at it was worse than useless lol the uhp are ok if you never going to see off road but going off what you say about the trailer and poss going off the beaten track i would defo stump up the extra for the at2,s (what my disco now has on it lol rob
  12. hi all does any one know of a lamp unit that fits into the big plug on the ends of a d1 doors??? they are the black plugs im refering to as want to put puddle lamps in them (and the back door too) thanks rob

  14. i think it could be down to tyre size (a bigger contact patch means there is more rubber on the road to follow imperfections) as i had the same size on my rrc. my rrc came with 205,s as your had and i fitted some freestyle alloys with michelin 235,s on and noticed it slightly following ruts etc then i put the 265/75,s on and that did make it very eager to follow ruts/overbanding etc are the tyres you

  16. is there a good improvement in going to vented over solid discs? i know they will dissipate heat better but do they actually stop you any better in day to day use? thinking of doing this to mine due to towing the caravan thanks rob

  20. hi all i just fitted some modulars to my disco but 1 dont stick out as much as the others? do they do them in different offsets?? (the odd one is stamped et8 but the other 3 aint stamped with a offset size thanks rob
