you can if your ultra carefull but as they cost pence its not worth the effort to try to remove them to re use (they perish the same as tyres so will give grief further along the line)
just cut them off on inside bead and bin them
rob
none here is south oxfordshire either
nearly poo,d my self i starting looking at this thread from the start and didnt see the date lol
i was getting dressed to go to london lol
rob
have you tried the caravan club one?(not 100% sure they do cover commercials tho)
i say them as they cover motorhomes etc and caravans that are over 8meter long
rob
do a search as egr removal has been covered many many times
yes its worth doing and is the first step towrds making your tdi much better performance wise
follow up with de cat and interccoler/inlet manifold clean out then your into intercooler upgrades and tweaked fuel pumps as long as the rest of the engine is tip top

in that thread look at the top pic there is a big bolt head on the right hand side of pic
thats the lock stop that hits the axle to limit steering lock
wind that out (not all the way tho) untill you have a slight gap on tyre to arm than do up the locknut
rob
very easy 1 spanner job
just wind the lock bolt out with wheel turned untill it can no longer touch the radius arm
ill have a look to see if i can find a pic of the bolt you need to adjust
rob
yep sounds like radius arm rub
you could just adjust thelock stops to prevent it happening again
wheel spacers will give you a better steering lock tho
and you would really need the 4 otherwise it would look daft
or you could get a bigger offset wheel also
rob
well there you go you do learn new thing daily
my mate has just picked up his and i told him it should be like my disco one
o well i still think he needs a nick compact bottle jack
rob
would seriously love a 80 lc but cant afford the difference in price at the mo
so its going to be what i have got or what i can buy with what i can sell the disco for
i have never towed with a auto (owned a few tho) hence my question
rob
hi all
as per my other thread im undecided on my towing needs
so what would be better my 98 d1 300 tdi manaual or a 94 rrc soft dash 300 tdi auto (still on air sus)
thanks rob
