  4. should be fine esp with new AT,s on
  5. have also heard of the tensioner wearing internally so pully runs at a slight angle causing noise
  6. +1 for the AT2,s had them on my disco in the snow early this year and utterly fantastic they were too and on my rangie before that and will be on this range rover when the coopers wear down
  7. check the rear ball joint too with that amount of lift will be at a bad angle Rob
  8. yep thats a defo shame but alas would cost more in fuel than the new springs lol still thinking some gen2,s as from the info on arnotts site gen3 sound more off road inspired thanks all for the input rob
  9. yes the wife tells me this one is now hers and therefor a keeper lol off road performance is not important as the worst it will get is some mild laning road performance is much more important to me so are gen3,s worth the extra over the gen2,s then? Rob
  10. so is it legal to fit HID,S to a p38 with air suspension then? Rob

  14. Cost wise there wont be a massive amount in it (approx £100) if some one has got the arnott,s fitted I would like to hear your opinions please. The ride is ok on original Dunlops but would like a little firmer if poss Rob
  15. Hi all My 2001 spec 4.6 has got 3 perished air bags on it and while they are causing no probs at present it has had 1 replaced (osr) before i got it so im guessing the others cant be far behind, My question is do i just get 3 dunlops and replace the others or do i go the arnott route?? I have read elsewhere that the driving character of the arnotts is different to oe but was not said how they differ??? Anyone have a opinion please? Thanks Rob
  16. about time this beast got some more attention loving it so far!! Rob
  17. May I ask what is different about the ride with them? is it firmer? Thanks Rob
  18. get yourself across to a bmw forum and ask them its the same engine as fitted to the bmw 540/740 (e38 and e39 models with m62 engine) so someone on there will have experiance of who to talk to out of interest whats wrong with the lump as i just traded in my e39 540 with 180k on the clock and it was a superb engine Rob
  19. i have seen plenty of p38's running L322 wheels with 60 profile tyres on so should be ok esp as your on coils so cant drop as low as on air would imagine the ride would be slightly softer but as its only a 5% difference should be fine. also the at2's wear very well too Rob
  20. imo grabber at2 tyres take a lot of beating in all but heavy off road conditions Rob
  21. just had this problem myself replaced the regulator with a new one i got on ebay for £35 delivered easy job to do only 4 rivets hold the unit in now no more annoying beep every time i start the car Rob
  22. thanks for the info very handy to know i (like a great many others i suspect) was under the impression once a becm went down that was it done :-( (this was also one of the reasons i held out on getting a p38 for so long) with this info i can happily cruise around knowing even if it all goes pear shaped its still cost effective to repair and there only up the road too Thanks again Jules Rob
