  1. LTP3003 covers all the tech publications that were ever available for any 90, 110, 127, 130. I have it on cd and now USB https://www.paddockspares.com/usb-dtp-land-rover-90-110-127-and-defender-90-110-and-130-1983-2001.html
  2. The equivalent is the NAS 3.9 in 94 there were also 110 NAS 3.9s, that is where I started looking for special parts for my build. I am not sure if there was specific parts and workshop manuals for them at the time, most of the parts seem to be mixed in with the euro parts catalogs. Wiring diagrams for any of the early 90s defenders are pretty hit and miss. Rovers North would be the place to check if there were any.
  3. Early models have the bracket at the top of the guard so #16, later models just bolt directly to the bulkhead. There are 4 bolts #11 at the back of the guard to the bulkhead. The two #2screws to the footwear bracket, there is another small bracket or stay to the bottom of the guard from the bulkhead, then the bolts from the inner guard to the bulkhead support brackets, #13. At the front of the guard is the bolts to the slam panel, and two bolts to the chassis at the bottom. Early radiator brackets bolted to the guard too as you mentioned.
  4. Heater pipes are plumbed the same as the Disco, just two hoses to connect. Mine gets more complicated as the carb manifold has extra connections to confuse things. My 3.9 did run a little hot at times which is why I bought the esr3685, I had a 4 row core fitted to a narrowed disco frame and tanks, but wasn't sure if my plumbing was allowing water to bypass the radiator or if the core was too dense to get a good airflow at low speeds.
  5. Those are what I have. Though I have been thinking of cutting it to fit the p38 thermostat in the hose, I haven't done it yet though.
  6. I think it is the drive flanges that are the problem, not sure if changing to aftermarket flanges may be a cure. I swapped my 85 front for a 96 disco front as I had a few of them, they say the early CVS are the strongest but I never had problems with the later ones with my 3.9.
  7. Your headlamp relay should be under the fuses below the centre facia, the yellow relay to the left of the brown relay.
  8. Found out AC fuel filters used by Ford used to have 1/2UNF fittings, and then found a pipe in my spares with two of them so another piece sorted.
  9. I am trying to find the thread of the fuel filter, it's an AC part, the pipe I was supplied to go between it and the fuel tee has the wrong pipe nut, need to find the thread to get one that fits. The olives for the 12mm tube nuts fit, but not the 12mm thread, 1/4 bsp doesn't seem to fit either
  10. My disc's are the same as yours, the vents are scavenging air from the centre as they should, even though the grooving goes against what would appear to be the correct way.
  11. You could say I cheated. I have used a magnaflow stainless rear pipe 2.5in from a 94 Rangerover classic and made my own front pipes, from flanges to y pipe in 2in, y to muffler 2.5in. I had the 3.9 manifolds and front pipes ceramic coated. I made the front pipes to mount to the rear gearbox mount and made a clamp and bracket to mount the muffler to the mount on the A-frame crossmember. I don't have a pic of that at present.
  12. I went for the later model steel ones for my rebuild, they are cleaner looking than the old model ones.
  13. When I used to build and race cars the general rule was that a rubber hose would be the next size up to a hard line for the same flow rate.
  14. I managed to find a reasonable second hand one a couple of years ago but it was very hard to find and nil new, are you making any for sale, I have been thinking of making a mold from mine, it only has one small crack in it.
  15. When I did my 3.9 conversion I had found a replacement chassis so built everything onto that and just swapped the body over, so I didn't have all the original pipes. I have sourced majority of them, and got lucky enough to find the two with non return valves but have to make the two that run to the back tank from steel. A couple of the new parts have had the wrong nuts or olives, the olives were bigger outside diameter than the outside of the male nuts thread so not sure what was going on there. I have been able to get the olives and female nuts, just need more m12 male tube nuts. I will be going back home in a couple of weeks so will be getting things finished off soon.
  16. The petrol 110 has the fuel return to the top fitting where the plug 25 is. I am just redoing my system and have been having trouble finding the correct pipes and fittings so having to make some. The fuel pump for the front tank is deeper than the rear tank, the difference between efi and carb pumps is only the pump itself, the mounting is the same with either high or low pressure pump. I am using carbs so using the low pressure pumps in both tanks with non return valves in the lines (factory pipes) thru a tee to the filter, the return is via a solenoid to whichever tank is in use. I fitted an additional fuel gauge so I can see the level of both tanks at any time.
  17. Maybe SGB501800, SGB501790, you may need to use the later bracket also SHU000040, SHU000050 Pioneer also do a flexible hose replacement for them.
  18. The 109 has wider spring mounts on the rear than the 88 so it isn't so much a problem but I do remember the 109 Salisbury spring mount is close to the cast center housing. This 110 axle will also be quite a bit wider than your standard axle, are you changing your front axle too? I would have thought a Rover type axle would be plenty strong enough for you, and much easier to work with, it is also shorter in the nose so won't be as much a problem for the propshaft. The Essex I wouldn't think would be that much more powerful than a turbo diesel, lots of series down under had Ford or Gm 6cyl engines fitted to them. You now are making me wonder how hard it would be to fit the stubs and hubs from a coiler to a leaf sprung axle?
  19. Can't say I have ever seen one, and looking at most of the suppliers websites doesn't come up with any.
