  2. Same as Tony,, !! A couple of wings for the hybrid,, (Tony,,my need is greater that yours !! cause they are ****) QT front guard, (after the wales trip !) Winch sail (unless JST comes up trumps ) Would not mind a O/Drive for the XS (make a large improvement)
  3. Just reading through myself as well,, a couple of points It is mandatory that drivers or passengers of soft or open topped vehicles wear crash helmets complying to BS6658 standards Ground anchor/plough. Winch blanket (minimum weight 1kg). It must not be permanently attached to the cable or hook (James is on this case,, !!! ) Competitors are not allowed to smoke while competing (well that stuffs a few of use !!!)
  4. Ahh,, see Fruity has now got some local knowledge !! but then, he does need all the help he can get,, even if it is Jim's
  5. Welcome Ray.. nice to see you here
  6. Well over weight,, My old Bobtail Rangie, on the scales was 2260 kgs, Not had the hybrid on them yet, but feel is a little lighter, but only by 200kg or so,
  7. Early 97/98 V70 R 2WD around £5-7k, For £12k, it would have to be a mint, low mileage, one of the last 2000 year ones with the 265 motor and AWD
  8. Look for a early V70R manual 2WD around P-S plate 250 brake
  9. Stephen,, the better choice me thinks !! enjoy
  10. Ben,, V70 AWD leave well alone,,a no-no,, the front angle drive are VERY fragile !! Grand to sort, The tyres on a AWD must be with in 2-3 mm of each other, so if you sidewall one, its a set of 4, otherwise damage to the angle drive The car is NOT 4 wheel drive but all wheel drive, sorted by viscous coupling,,, also the car on -e-blag is NOT 265 brake but 240, and the early car are not that rare, Stick to a proper 2 WD one, and you will not go wrong, if its got good history, Look after a T5 with over 350k on the clock !!
  11. Use to be twice the price of anything else, but nowadays, have to be in line with the other makes,,, For example ,,, Today, had to order a caliper bracket for a Ford Ka,, 75 quid, !! having a laugh !! Volvo 40 odd Genuine The caliper was over £130 Ford, the Volvo £ 110. and twice the size !!!
  12. Not quite right O2,, Volvo's first was the 480 in 87 (if you can call the 400 series a Volvo !!! ???
  13. No question,,,, Volvo 850 T5 estate,, if looked after 250k, and 20 years !! 225 bhp, and room for rover in the back, !!! and tow the offroad toy behind !! i can find you one for £2.5 k forget the Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily's) dagenham dustbins !!!
  14. Thanks guys, found out most of that, 3/4 colours options, screen surround, front soft a bar etc, so not a lot out of the ordinary Some so & so made me a offer for the XS, which I could not refuse, so now looking for a replacement !!!
