  1. Exmoor trim now do a 3 piece set in waterproof canvas that seem well fitted. 168 a pair though or 158 if your Tony Cheers Steve
  2. Hi Ralph Thanks for the offer,Ithink I'mgoing to need MY2002 onwards for my 90. Cheers Steve
  3. I thought it might be there, but there were no 5A fuses - why LR just doesn't refer to it also as a passenger fuse box I don't know, seeing as that's what the other are referred to! I'll pull 30 and check and if not it I'll check all others - cheers for the info guys. I must have blown it somehow - but it is a connector and was just disconnected - nevermind I know how it all works now! Moving from the P38 back to a Defender, even a TD5 one the electricsare a doddle compared! How do I get a copy of Rave and what PC O/S will it run on? Cheers Steve
  4. Tim -you trying to make it look like an XS???? Fitting those white lights!! About time you did those wings too!
  5. When I removed the truckcab and took the interior light out I seem to have somehow lost my 12V constant feed. The trip meter is zeroing each time, no clock, no interior light and there is no constant 12v feed on stereo connector - so I'm sure it's gone. Now I'm assuming it's the 5v fuse that's gone rather than 4 wires simultaneously going! but it could also be something to do with alarm. BUT - I can't find where the satellite fuse box is. I've checked out the passenger fuse box,and the under seat fuse box - but where is the satellite one?? I must get a workshop manual!! Any help appreciated Cheers Steve
  6. Never had a problem with Scorpion - like to elaborate? what was the issue?? Cheapest place for turrets is paddocks, but I have no idea what they are like - otherwise they are all similar Re-location devices do seem to work better on the rear for re-seating if they are on axle not chassis, however if you go for Devon 4x4's design it doesn't seem to matter that they are on the chassis. Theyare cheaper too! As for OME springs and shocks just phone around for cheapest. You'll also need adjusted bump stops and kinked rear trailing arms, and yes I think you'll need longer brake hoses Cheers Steve
  7. Hi DD I've got a set of rear yellows you can try that were off the Hybrid. I fitted the NRC4304's on the rear and they were softer. I can bring them along to Paul's day on the 15th and then one of the crew coming from the west can hopefully bring them back for you. Cheers Steve
  8. Hi Tim and others needing a place to stay nearby.. have a look here.. [url=http://www.llandoverycastlehotel.co.uk/%5burl%5d]http://www.llandoverycastlehotel.co.uk/http://' target="_blank"> We have had dinner at the Castle a number of times on trips before. Their food and beer etc are good pub fare. It's easy to get to the farm from here. Cheers Steve
  9. My timing was good, haven't been able to get online properly for a week! Yes count me in, unless my 90 starts leaking then I'll have to pull out!! Cheers Steve
  10. Why not go for an air suspension system out of a Range Rover. You get a compressor, tank, pressure release valve etc and 150psi, ok for doing tyres. Cheers Steve
  11. Hi Nige If you haven't been to Gaydon before you should go to the Heritage day. Less of a show, more like an enthusiast gathering. Well worth the entry fee alone to look around all the British cars and motorcycles in the Heritage centre. Cheers Steve
  12. I got mine for a fiver at a Dunsfold day! They are the best for digging though. Cheers Steve
  13. I think what they are both trying to say is no! Steve
  14. The chassis is completely different to a Classic though and would probably make mounting bulkhead etc a nightmare. Also the central chassis rails sit much wider. You get 24 spline 4pin diffs all round though Cheers Steve
  15. you didn't want one from the old dear then???? Steve
  16. Thanks for the offer Charles. I'll phone them tomorrow and letyou know if I need thempicked up. Cheers Steve
  17. Ah but you get a nice Allen headed bolt for that price!! I think Stephen summed it up well regarding Jate rings.. I'll be fitting these to the front of the 90 until I get something better sorted later on,probably in conjunction with a winch bumper. Cheers Steve
  18. Yes Will and Nigel, but you are missing the point of the intial post - the fact is this set-up is perfectly OK for the majority of people and as such is sound advice for the majority of people. On most LR's with a 2" lift and 2" extended shocks it's the downward shock travel that is limiting axle articulation not the bump stop on the upward movement. Also you'll have to explain to me how one half of an axle moving higher, while the other half moves lower (both roughly equal in weight) affects COG?? Cheers Steve
  19. Can you pick me up a couple of diff guards from QT,whileyou are in the neighbourhood Cheers Steve
  20. Not if you don't want start cutting all of your arches and inner arches you don't. Ben your theory is correct in principle. 4" shocks will give roughly the same articulation as dropping the shock mounts all round by 2". New turrets and lower rear mounts willcost you between 110-160 depending on where you get them from. Either you'll have to pay attentionto your shock compression and adjust bump stops accordingly. Cheers Steve
  21. Bowmotor 24V 4.6HP, expertly re-built by me - That's scared you now hasn't it Cheers Steve
  22. Just a joke, nothing behind it although after your reply I did a search to try and find something humurous on 'clique' and found this http://womenclique.com/ and I thought the top item of 101Tips: The Insider's Secret on How to Become a Man Magnet! was funny! Cheers Steve
  23. Personally I'm surprised that the reserve was so high. I would have thought that a bid of ~14K would be good. You can't expect to recoup all of the costs put in. I reckon this 90 has about 8-9K of extras added, so that leaves 5-6K for base hybrid and labour. That's not bad going in my opinion. Tim you got a bargain. Add a cage, rear 8274 and new cross member/winch mount (about 2K +fitting) and you have a set up as good, actually better with 3-Link! Cheers Steve
