Finally sorted mine. After replacing all the bushes at the front + full suspension (it was raised 2 inches and I put it back to standard) + steering box + heavy duty damper, I bit the bullet and took it to a local specialist.
It was a combination of, the rear bushes and ball joint being goosed, and more tellingly, the hole where the damper bush attaches to the axle being oval.
I've been having very similar issues with a 110 puma.
After replacing pretty much everything at the front (steering box, swivels, bushes, track rod and ends), the full suspension all round, I'm trying the ball joint on the rear axle on Monday.
Fingers crossed.
Britpart appear to be undergoing a revolution at the moment, I've bought a couple of bits and pieces recently (by mistake) and had no issues...
Allmakes are OK. Bearmach top notch in my experience.
Hi,
I've got an issue with a 2007 110 puma defender. It looses power, going into limp mode due to fault code P0234-00 'turbo overboost condition'.
So far I have:
Replaced all pipes (turbo to intercooler + intercooler to intake manifold)
Changed all filters
Removed and inspected intercooler (clean as a whistle)
Replaced plug LR020663 as per Land Rover recall TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN No.LTB00254/2010
Removed and cleaned EGR
Replaced turbo and actuator (£££££££££)
Still having the same issue. If I turn the ignition off then back on the power returns, only to disappear 5 miles further down the road; do that 3 times and the engine light comes on.
Really at a loss as to what to do next.
Any suggestions welcome!
Hi, yeah I've got that too.
I am signed up to TOPIx now. It is quite expensive but it does cover all newer landrovers and gives you helpful information like recall information 'n stuff.
Thanks though.
If you run your finger down the join where the head meets the block on the right hand side as you look at it, near the front you should feel a bit of the gasket sticking out. You will probably need to scrape it with a screwdriver but the holes should be fairly distinctive.
I have had the same issue on more than 1 td5.
I know it isn't ideal but I have tried this and it worked.

Best part of 2 years I've had the car now. It had continued to flash up the fault. Usually if the car is started warm I.e. at the petrol station or the shops.
Until now...
There was a howl which sounded to me like it might be diff related. Turns out it was the nsf wheel bearing. Changed that and the fault appears to have gone. 1 week now without it flashing up
Weird.
