Sorry you seem to mis understand me, by that i meant i wouldnt normal care that they didnt supply them, but the fact it is only a lap belt you would have thought that something like that would have been included purely to make sure you do add them to make it more secure.
My plan is tomorrow to phone a few blacksmiths and see what they can do for me
Thats what confused me it is a company that is not far from me that deals in landrover parts, Very good catalogue. And they have told me that there seat belts dont include a spreader plate. Which i thought would have been part of the kit as it is needed. Wouldn't normally care but it is only a lap belt should i have someone in the back
Posted on here a few weeks ago ref this and only just getting down to doing it. Phoned a few places today and was very surprosed that they supply the selt belt stuff but they dont come with the spreader plates, does anyone know if kits that come with these.
Update, I have now been under neath and where the gear box is or just above it at the back end of the end is where the oil seems to be coming from around that area so i think jet wash and then see where it returns from is in order
The oil looks clean enough on the dipstick and there is no sign of water on the inside of the oil filler cap.
Not sure how to check compression
There is no smoke on start up, havent noticed anything on the rear sump but will go under and have a look,
Where abouts is the bell housing still new to all this mechanic stuff LOL
Quick Question for you all here,
Checked the oil and water on the landy about 3 weeks ago and both were very low now since then i have probably done about 1500 miiles. I checked them again this morning and whilist the water was low it was not that bad but the oil is lower than it should be. Have had a look round the engine bay and there are no obvious signs and there are no puddles where she has been sat.
It runs on LPG as well, notsure if this could cause it but has anyone got any ideas or is this just a landrover thing
Just been out and checked the oil and water and whilist the water is lower than it should be the oil is well below what it should, Was only checked about 3 weeks ago and both were very low then, not really done lots and lots of mile prob about 1500 since last checking.
Have searched the engine bay and no obvious leaks or any puddles on the floor. ENgine seems to be running fine and is not running at high temp.
Any one got any ideas
I am running 2 batteries on a split charge will take a pic and post where i have them, although i have to say thinking about upgrading them to two bigger ones as there seems to be a drain somewhere
