  1. can anyone remember the size of the inner tube for the staun beadlocks ? ripped my valve clean off today its 155 ??? x15 afink dan
  2. you could really do with getting hold of a tub of the sterndrive grease that comes with the drives when new, i cant think what its called atm, id have to tell you next time theres a new boat in for a pdi how often do you have to change bearings ? once a season is quite acceptable IMO dan
  3. its abit tricky really, afink the seal would need to be left as a std seal a bearing saver has a spring that applys pressure to a metal plate with a rubber seal attatched to seal it, as the pressure of grease builds up it compresses the spring until it reaches the bleed off, which is just at the point it wants to pop the seal out it would need the same system afink to work thinking about it will speak to the boss at work tomorrow, see if he's got any ideas, he's been in the boat trade longer than me dan
  4. when you push the hub on, the seal will try to fold over and pop the spring off
  5. id fit two new stub axles and fit new seals, there far better than the boat trailer seals as they seem to fail within 5 miles of going up the road id drill and tap the drive flange, then fit a bleed hole in a apropiate place ive got bearing savers on my boat trailer and they work a treat, got pig sick of changing bearing twice a season, expecialy as it a twin axle dan
  6. could use orange and then flog it to them to brand it as extreme orange chalk dan

  13. lmao i hear tom has devaloped a liking to water aswel now if its anything like the old v8 u had it shouldnt miss a beat chris so stop worrying you little heart out am away for the next days or so i was thinking of entering, but, its tha august bank hol and i suspected no's would be low due to everyone being away so ive left it if its on, then good luck mate and improve on your previous position dan

  15. instead of calling names....you best be looking under that bonnet at ways of keeping all 8 cylinders happy as i can see there are going to be a few water punches and as for 60 mile, if i was at home for the next 10 days id be going, but i aint ill see you at slindon...no excuses on distance as im going good luck chris dan
  16. i wont be going, im away that weekend, and ill be damned if im going to travel 200 miles to the event then 200 miles back to were i origionaly was, and run the risk of breaking something then i am goosed so i will be giving this one a miss but will be at rd 4 down slindon im trying to convinse matt to do a challenge trophy round this year aswel, just to get a feel of what its like why dont you do one aswel ? afink jim is going in his disco tho chris well done to tom and sales btw dan
  17. now if im understanding you right, you mean you need to mount it like a 8274 mounts feet up on the bit of the bumper where the cable goes ? afink you can rotate the whole gearbox around on the drum suport, but i honestly remember if the holes will line up or not, but ino that the gearbox unbolts from drum support its been a long time since i messed with a ep as im now a 8274 lover ill see if i can pinch a friends winch and have a fiddle with it to see if its possable unless someone beats me too it dan
  18. funnly enough, thats what ive been doing for the past few times out, but you look a tart putting them down ive always got my waffle boards on the truck anyhows, so if i ever need um, theyre there the only down side is, they dont grip wel and get spat out easily see how we go at the bank hol with just the front locker
  19. concret slip at the bottom is flat ive tried everything apart from trying just front wheel drive and the landy doesnt flinch when the boat is added, its only 30 kg on the nose got it nicely balanced also helps being a twin axle like i say u need see it to understand, its just wierd i get further with the diffs unlocked than locked
  20. nope luckly there are two big posts to winch off when things go wrong and by time u get into the 90 to attemps to get off the soft sand whilst under water its sank to its axles its a mixed beach, have more fun there than at offroad sites dan
  21. s'ok mmy friend, i should have explaind the situation better, its mainly at high water that i have a arse of a time getting off due to the front being on a concret slip up onto the field and the rear being on a rocky base mixed in with shingle aswel to add fun what i want to do is basicaly just for that occasion is to in effect just to become front wheel drive ( if you get me ) as the rear end just sends shingle straight up into the wheelhouse too low rpm and it dont want go anywhere its dragging 1.5t with bloody pram tyres onits trailers over a soft surface ands its a nightmare i try to recover at low water now, but its dunking me 90 into saltwater way over the axles and sum 100 yards away from the shore line this is my prediciment dan
  22. western its a beach thats mainly rocks, no sand so lowering wont work and also itll bend the jockey wheel also id like to keep the boat attached to vehical after all it isnt a cheap boat 15k mark like i said, u need to be there to understand it chears tony, thats a real help dan
  23. send it me i want a chuckle unless its aimed at me
  24. didnt work but i didnt try with them fastend down might try running the rear tyres flat aswel mike, you had enough of mc now ? its become abit bitchy to say the least
  25. says the one who tries it on with a tree no seriously, u need to see what i mean to understand, its either see if this works, or get some all terrians to save windscreens lmao
