will we be having the team recovery again or will we be back to a normal s/s
quite a few people aint keen on the team recovery as it can put you out of the event before youve even started
dan
what day are you coming up and where from
i can meet you and you can follow me upto the site if needed
ill have a look late at a map
unless twiggy knows the road no's off his head ?
what a bummer pal
i havent got the paperwork to hand but i do have it at home so if someone else doesnt come up with any ill send it over to you
i do have a good 10p cyl head thats been tested out good but its going onto an engine
if i can dig out another one ill give you a shout.
it might be worth buying a later 15p engine and breaking your engine for spares.
youll find that by tge time all the bits have gone the 15p engine would have cost you not much more than what another cyl head will cost
dan
just make sure that if your towing you car there, you will need to come in from the congleton end and up the hill to the site as you cannot turn to get into the site coming in from the tunstall end of the city
trucks basically ready
see you there

ive got a dedicated 24v system on my comp truck
personally id rather the bow 1 over the bow 2
ive got both of them on my car and the 1's pull alot harder
set of pushrods
full timing set inc tensioner and idler
front crank seal
a few tappets
two rockers
big breaker bar
puller for crank pulley
feeler guages
timing pins
usual sockets spanners ect
plasters
and a nice big mug for the tea
should cover it
ive got them running at the side of the road a few times

while you at it find out what a td5 one does pressure wise
ive opened up the outlet port to 4mm and i can lock to lock with the palm of my hand at a standstill with my boggers at 9psi
fit a bow 1 and then 24v over 12 it
you wouldnt believe the difference
ive got a ep as my center winch and it doesnt even slow down one bit when in use
yeh, ive done abit more research, i was told it would fit straight on by ashcroft..... obviously there converter would.
looking at the two converters it wouldnt be hard to make the 3.9 one fit but being pushed for time it might be one for another day
does anyone know what t-converter fits into a td5 ?
im upgrading my td5 one to the middle sized converter which i was told was from a 3.9v8 and that it would bolt straight on, however it doesnt.
do i have the wrong one ? or is it a hybrid converter thats made up to fit
cheers
dan
oh, and when you do get it running
, get it upto temp then re tighten the clips as i assume your using rubber hose like me ?
as all of the cars ive done have needed tweaking when upto temp
