I may be mistaken but that looks like it was based on a puma (dash, bulkhead, bonnet). If it was then surely it shouldn't be in the US yet, imagine spending that much only to have it confiscated and crushed....
Look after yourself mate, if your healing is anything like your work ethic you'll be back shaming us all with your progress in no time!
Enjoy some rest and fix yourself 😉
PS hope you had a good family Christmas despite all this
I spoke to them on the 1st of June as my V5 does actually have a body type of estate on it, I was advised to email them a copy of my V5 and explain that I should be exempt. On the 29th of November I received confirmation that my 110 indeed exempt from the LEZ and the checker has been updated. So it looks like the process does work but takes 6 months. Hope this helps.
They look forged to me, the parting line would be crisp on a casting (hard to tell on yours as it's been ground but it looks more like a forging shear line) and the chips when you milled the flat don't look like those from a casting to me, but I could be wrong.
It looks like a Safety Devices expedition roll cage that someone has welded a load of carp too, perhaps the new owner also owns an angle grinder and is going to return it to standard.....
Nice tip, I'm starting to get a collection of these tips brake piston removal tips.
Depending on the size of the piston you can place a socket in it and then place a 1/2 drive next to the socket and it will jam up allowing you to twist the piston out ..... also for motorbike size brake piston you can get a slide hammer kit for a few pennies.
Wow, I'm envious, I'd love those three workshops..... and another for woodwork.
You must have worked hard to be able to make your dream a reality, love seeing the progress
