  1. I love how part of an oscillating desk fan has been grafted onto a jet engine
  2. Of all the bandsaw tables I've seen for these saws why have I never seen one that simply clamps in the vice? Nice work.
  3. I may be mistaken but that looks like it was based on a puma (dash, bulkhead, bonnet). If it was then surely it shouldn't be in the US yet, imagine spending that much only to have it confiscated and crushed....
  4. I guess another hidden advantage of the cylinder being inside the axle is the axle breather should be kept clear
  5. Nice work sir, always looks 'factory'when you make stuff.
  6. It's somewhat ghostly watching the lever actuate itself Must be nice to be creating again
  7. Look after yourself mate, if your healing is anything like your work ethic you'll be back shaming us all with your progress in no time! Enjoy some rest and fix yourself 😉 PS hope you had a good family Christmas despite all this
  8. I spoke to them on the 1st of June as my V5 does actually have a body type of estate on it, I was advised to email them a copy of my V5 and explain that I should be exempt. On the 29th of November I received confirmation that my 110 indeed exempt from the LEZ and the checker has been updated. So it looks like the process does work but takes 6 months. Hope this helps.
  9. They look forged to me, the parting line would be crisp on a casting (hard to tell on yours as it's been ground but it looks more like a forging shear line) and the chips when you milled the flat don't look like those from a casting to me, but I could be wrong.
  10. Nice work , surely they are forged not cast though?
  11. What's the full list of things you have done to these axles? I've lost track!
  12. It looks like a Safety Devices expedition roll cage that someone has welded a load of carp too, perhaps the new owner also owns an angle grinder and is going to return it to standard.....
  13. I swear that has been on here a few times over the years, it's looking a lot worse for wear this time around.
  14. They are only shown on the rear axle in the parts diagrams. Rear hub reduction Front hub reduction
  15. I used M30's bolting my hydraulic press together ....
  16. Weren't lightweights heavier than a standard series anyway? So using the Land Rover logic this will be a Super Lightweight
  17. Nice tip, I'm starting to get a collection of these tips brake piston removal tips. Depending on the size of the piston you can place a socket in it and then place a 1/2 drive next to the socket and it will jam up allowing you to twist the piston out ..... also for motorbike size brake piston you can get a slide hammer kit for a few pennies.
  18. Wow, I'm envious, I'd love those three workshops..... and another for woodwork. You must have worked hard to be able to make your dream a reality, love seeing the progress
  19. What's upstairs Ed? Storage space for lots of Land Rover bits?
  20. Yep! That might indeed I don't dare ask how long that took, it's amazing 🙂
  21. How did you do it? Is that done by hand with a die grinder? Looks great 😀
