thought about the kam one but with the cutting and diff pan it kinda advertises the fact there's one in there. seen to many lads with arb's faffing about with switches/airlines/fittings and still forgetting to switch them on!! i prefer one that is working without all the messing.
i am going to be in the market for a mechanical rear locker soon and as as ashcrofts have stopped selling detroit lockers for whatever reason i dont know where else to look. i want a true locker not a lsd type if possible and i definately dont want an ARB. so what does the collective recommend?
i have a primetech one off ebay seems very well made and it pulls well. a few lads over here have them and they all seem to rate them highly enough. mine seems to be standing up well to the abuse i give it.
got a friend who's in tank fuel pump has died and as the engine is coming out to go into a challenge truck i was wondering what other fuel pumps i can fit to get it running. carb ones are out as they dont give enough pressure so what's everybody else using? oh yeah its a 3.5efi!!
i had the exact same symptons a while back and even got an engine lined up. took the advice of a much more knowledgable friend and whipped the head off to find the head gasket had gone between the pushrod tube and the piston which pressurised the crankcase and made it breathe really heavy and sound terrible. 3 weeks later a mates did the same....
jeez seems a lot of hassle to go to. when i did mine i got myself a cappilary water temp guage and put it in the top hose it reads 40 to 110 and is very accurate you can see it going up a degree at a time
