  2. absolute exerciser. i'm not uk based but can slip in and out i could go visit him if you want.
  3. as per the title genuine gearbox mounts required as the ****part ones are made of very hard rubber which doesnt isolate the vibes. many thanks
  4. use a genuine or gates belt they seem to be the best and make sure all the grooved pulleys are spotless! to isolate if its the belt squirt some wd40 on the grooved side of the belt while its running, if it stops then theres your culprit!!
  5. unfortunately that seems to be the norm when it comes to web based enquiries from uk based companies. they seem far behind the states and the rest of europe. best bet would be to call them but that's hard when there is an 8hr time difference.
  6. try famous four over in the uk they used to do a 1" lowering/roadholding kit. they were very easy to deal with and do export too! (www.famousfour.co.uk)

  9. now i'm confused.... ihave a disco transfer box in already and you say i need a 20tooth and yet the link above says i have one in it already....

  12. i'm in the process of fitting the electronic td5 speedo to my 90 question is as i'm running a disco tramsfer box and 33" tyres which transducer will i need? my local supplier is sending me a defender one? is this correct? or is there something else i will need to get a correct reading or do i put up with it reading wrong?? thanks!!

  17. having read thru the thread and instructions by retroanaconda it seems to me all i need to do is get the kmh td5 speedo, the transducer for the xfer box and some 3 core. is it really that simple or am i missing something? i'm realy fed upwith the wibbly wobbly needle in mine
  18. ???? why? i have a full set running on ozi explorer and they are every bit as good as the paper ones. where area are you camping?
  19. it was an N/A and we used the pipes off the disco lump that came out of the RRC and extended them IIRC the ends i have on mine are the "O" ring type so i think i need this type in the defender flavour for mine then
  20. cant post this in the defender forum because its a 200tdi disco engine that came from a RRC thats been put into my 90........ anyhoo i need some new oil cooler pipes and my supplier wants a chassis number as they have 2 different no's as follows pre JA918061 is esr280/281 after that its esr1912/1913 which set do i need???? is it possible to find out which from an engine number?? i presume one is imp and the other metric? thanks for any replies
