Get a copy of the RAVE CD-ROMs they have the full workshop manual on them. Yes they are worth it, but before you splash out check out the Tech Archive forum on the LR4x4 front page - Les has probably written a thread covering what you need to do
Just tried but it would appear that it needs to be somebody with global mod rights as I can't do it.
Henson! Stop bending valves and get your butt in here
Cubby box, centre seat is no good if your passenger has breasts unless you\they like elbow bruises on them from every gear change!
It can be cosy depending on the passenger though
It should have an error code logged if it is indeed bladdered, and as Jim said you just change it. I thought there were 2 wires but I don't have one to peer into and I can't say I have taken much notice
The injector harness causes a misfire but rarely a non start or cutting out. The injector washer problem is not "common" but it "does happen" and would be my guess given the symptoms described. By all means check/change the injector harness first as it will be ruling out a future problem
If you change the injector washers be sure to follow the correct workshop manual procedure for re-setting the adjustment on the injector plungers because if you don't it will likely either not run right or break something expensive, depending on which way the adjustment is out.
I would never mount a high lift jack anywhere except on a roof rack on the outside of a vehicle, and I don't even like them there as they go rusty and seize up, though not as quickly as one that is full of mud from using a vehicle on unsurfaced roads! Front bumper, back end, doesn't matter it will still get plastered in poo. They are grumpy enough things to use when they are kept in the warm and dry!
Depends on your point of view. If as a dealer you have just spent the thick end of £15000 on an IDS system, so you can talk to all the vehicles, you would need to recoup that investment somehow!
What do you mean by "re programming" it should not need reprogramming only when new, or do you mean you need to replace one?
Programming a new fob requires a Testbook or similar, but if you are just changing the battery it shouldn't need anything
Possibly - maybe depends on where it is leaking though. I would certainly try the oil pressure relief first but if it isn't that I reckon it is going to be expensive
No they are all the same even the Pumas, but the old type with the thick drive flanges will not accept most of the alloy wheel range as it won't seat on the hub properly.
As already said the Freelander wheel is totally different but Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic alloys will fit so there is a fairly extensive choice to suit a 97MY vehicle and there are also a fair number of aftermarket ones.
You might be right (fingers crossed) but another possibility is that combustion pressure is going into the oil system somewhere which would explain your balloon oil filter but would almost certainly mean your engine is f***ed...
A 1991 will have drums on the back if standard, the discs only came in around 1993 some time, about the last 8000 or so 200Tdi vehicles
Because of that I don't know if any of the standard rims will fit but I believe the aftermarket copies, e.g. the Firestyle, do fit drums without problems.
