  2. @ old hand: the search on the forum came up with nothing for gps. i did already try that before posting, and have just tried again, with no results.
  3. Hi guys I'm looking to get a vehicle mount GPS mapping system to fit to my truck What are people using and what do people recommend. For both social off roading and challenges etc Thanks

  6. I'm looking at coming to watch the Kov comp, is there any info out there for spectating? Good spots, where to park, is there somewhere to purchase food/drinks etc. Any info very welcome, Thanks
  7. Popped down to east grinstead today with my 3yr old son and mate, saw what was a really good winch challenge, with very friendly marshals. Some nice trucks and varied styles of driving, very good day from a spectators point of view. Well gone everyone. Look forward to popping down again, either as an entrant or spectator.
  8. Nice one, thanks v much for the info, looking forward to seeing you all.
  9. I'm sure he wants everyone knowing his business too....? Lol
  10. I plan on bringing my boy down to watch on Sunday, how much is it to spectate? And is there an address / postcode you can publish? I'm not local, (travelling from stanstead) so don't know the location. Thanks Brad.
  11. If I can finish my truck I'd be well up for it, no mot etc tho, so red for me. Sounds like a great fun day. ?
  12. why did it need the reversing light fixed for the mot, i didnt realise the reverse light was even on the mot spec?
  13. personally i'd use andson connectors as put forward by frax, i'd also suggest making up some long jump leads and changing one end of the leads to the anderson connectors leaving crocadile clips on the other end, (you'll be able to jump your motor, and others from yours) however your less likely of your leads going walkies, as average joe, wont want to use them as they'll need your truck too. (speaking from experience,,,,, jump leads get borrowed and go walkies). foxy.
  14. Reckon it'd take a few grinder discs to turn it in to a challenge truck ?
  15. mikeyb13 is right, you wont fail an mot for not having a working reverse light, its not a tested part of the car.
  16. YOU WANA GIVE EBAY.COM (AMERICAN EBAY) A CHANCE. I GOT A FULL SIZE INTERCOOLER WHEN I HAD MY 300TDI FITTED, ONLY A CPL OF YRS AGO, PAID FOR AN INTERCOOLER PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS THE BIG ALLISPORT ONE, INCLUDING IMPORT DUTY AND INCLUDING SHIPPING, FOR ONLY £300, THINK THE COMPANY WAS BASED IN SAN DIEGO. DONT BE AFRAID TO SHOP FURTHER AFIELD FOR THE BARGAINS.
  17. If ya wanted the standard td5 radius arms £25 If ya want the tracking bar fitted with a dan bar sleeve £40 And if you wanted the heavy duty tracking guard, £50 I'm not releasing my giggle pin trialling arms, as I'm using them, mog axles not fitted yet, I only removed my arb axles this weekend, (Saturday)
  18. the axles were built 1 challenge ago, and about 4 pay and play days ago. and no more than 300 miles ago. rear axle needs brake pads, other than that there ready to rock. i fitted these axles to my g registration defender 90. so yes they should fit straight on to a disco 1. the axles are off an 02 td5 90.
  19. Yes both my axles have lockers, arb'd are switched on and off, so what ever class your in, ya can just disconnect the switch to stay in your class, that way it's just the same as having a 4 pin diff
  20. None taken stuck, just offering a cheap GD replacement for quality parts, but as ya say, unless ya know the truck, ya never know
  21. Weigh up the cost, and what you Wana run the motor for, I'm sellin td5 front with arb locker and hardened crown wheel and pinion 4.76 gear hardened flange, and same for rear but also with ashcroft hardened shafts in rear, £600 front, £700 rear, or £1200 pair,? Let me know if your interested
