  1. Sorry, What i meant was that i used about : 7m rear axle to top of snorkel 3m front axel to snorkel 4 from gear and transfer box to snorkel, what i did hear was chop into the existing breathers for these put a T piece in and ran just one up from here. As its really difficult to access the top of these without dropping a load of carp in when you try and get the old fittings out! Dougie
  2. First things first You need to drop the oil out of the axle...it should not be milky and light brown! If it is then yes it has taken in water Dougie Ps wading kits you do not need to spend big bucks on IMHO 4mm ID 6mm OD pneumatic line X 15m 2 x 90 elbows to suit axle thread's 1 X 't' piece to join gear & transfer box breather's (they a right tw%t to get to !) 15 zip ties Thats my tuppence HTH.
  3. Steve, Have you had a look at coverking? (site under bit of construction @ minute) I also have a friend that suffers from the said sweaty back and He tells me that these are a lot better than having no cover at all, Loads of colours and machine washable, I got He got them from eastnor last year and has been impressed with them Good fit water proof (tried and tested) and no fading yet either They are @ billing stall MA, MB And will probs do you al ittle deal there too Dougie

  6. Can anyone help here? I seem to only have Padia 4x4 @ just shy of £500 as the best so far TIA
  7. Tris, If a few more show any interest ?????? i will gladly set a poll up and go across the forum if thats what people want??? I know alot of people have LR4x4.com stickers already, i dont want to step on toes (i'll break them ) but not everyone may want there usernames on there cars either, but all large/small/fat/thin/colours can be catered for. 'SPOTTED' sub-catogary, where you can post about spotting people 'out and about' ? Loads of options, But if its what the people want then speak up or forever hold there piece Dougie
  8. Martin put me down for a PI room please, there is a few close together around sheffield for sure and rotherham as i have stayed there when working in that area, not too sure if there will be any bits left on the cars providing they make it through the night thou I'm looking forward to putting faces to names as well as trying a few different lanes followed by a bit of banter and general LR chit chat in the bar afterwards whilst sampling a few scoops! Dougie. Ps if all/many are interested in the username sticker idea mentioned by 'letsgetdirty' i would be happy to organise these (maybe with LR4x4 / logo incorperated???) and bring them along with me, as i know a man that can
  9. 1st test must be to swap the relays between yours and your mates car? does the same 'click' happen ? swap relay bases Does the same thing happen? let me know and we can take it from there
  10. You have no grease gun ? Long nipples As a matter of a fact i can recomend this link......... left click here <<<
  11. My vote goes to Allisport, I had a good look around last year when i was in the market for an up grade and opted for them. I had very good comms with them on the phone over the 4/5 calls that i made think i did speak with Andy once but the guy i dealt with was called..... sorry cannot remember but he was very nice and helpfull and that's why they got my custom. As i couldn't make the Billing show last year he was kind enough to go out of his way and meet me in a chinese restaurant car park the night before the show where i exchanged my hard earned for : full width intercooler header tank PAS tank and he threw in a air filter for good measure. They also did me a very good deal may i add {enough to warrant the 240mile round trip} They will have been making a few good sales that weekend and didn't have to disrupt his evening to meet little old me ! This along with the excellant products that i had off them (still with no faults/issues after 15000 miles) is what i look for when i am parting with money. Good luck to them in there new premises too
  12. Not used these particular routes myself but as above we all need to back this 110% because next time it could be the routes that i / you are useing regular that have these prohibition orders on them! 8700 active members X a few £ each it soon mounts up Just made my donation Dougie

  16. Hi Brasco, I,m pretty sure the calipers are different for vented discs but i,m sure someone older and wiser than myself will be along shortly to correct me if i,m wrong. As for the bolts you are talking about the land rover manual also states that you should not split them but i like many have ignored this And i myseft tightened them up to the FT setting along with a smear of thread lock. I also found that a couple of sockets are the best way to install the metal 'wiper seal retainer' after firstly using a slightly smaller socket and knocking it in gently upside down, then carefully removing it to insert the correct way. I did this because not one went in correctly the first time and i found this 'forming' of them a great help IMHO Regards Dougie
  17. Note to self.. Must fit breathalyzer to both LR4x4 password access (to stop me jumping in feet first since i have just found all the answers in the 'cad archive') And E-bay account!
  18. Geoff, Hope this will not be counted as a 'thread hi-jacking' but i will be keeping a close eye on this as it is a subject that i am very keen on pursuing, i may have the opportunity to make progress with this through work soon and would be gratefull for peoples views on : what course? what software is best? (if not auto cad then one that is compatable?? with it as that is the programme they are running for our client) how much software cost? etc etc plus any problems i may encounter as well as geoffs query of course, since he did start the thread.... i am pretty computer literate and am eager to learn on this front (especially as i will not be paying for the course ,) but admit that i am a virtual novice when it comes to this subject so all comments will be gratefully digested Dougie
  19. I'd like to recommend these if you're looking for switches. Yep There the ones i,m after mate but need to know if they will fit in the slots/openings of the existing buttons around the steering collum on my 300tdi disco??
  20. I know this is an old post but at least it proves i,m looking! Just wondered mark / anyone if the carling switches fitted in the slots around the steering wheel of a 300tdi disco? they look similar but i have no carling switch to compare with! and would rather have the carling type as they look smarter but dont reall want a mud pod or the like as it seems like a waste of space as i have switch points emty with half the wiring there already! Anyone tried this before? probs wont fit but atleast i've asked the question Dougie
