Thanks duncmc for the reply. The pipes aren't on that diagram. I think that looks like auto transmission fluid pipes?
It's for the oil itself that runs round the engine. Attached to the radiator and then run to oil adaptor on the oil filter.
Cheers
Hello once again to everyone.
MOT Time again and yes you guessed it, my bottom oil cooler pipe perished. Pin hole in the rubber pipe which resulted in much oil scooshing all over my manifolds etc.
Could someone help me get the correct part and maybe a step by step guide to what's involved to do it. The light nights are here so want to try get as much done as possible before it's due in.
Cheers folks, as usual much appreciated ??
Update: This forum has been a god send to me over the years and that's why I send funding each month to make sure it stays here.
I posted in the wanted section about my relay search and it was answered.
Huge thanks to Darren from this forum who sent the relay for a very reasonable price. Couldn't hold the excitement and went straight out to the Rangie (paddy) to try it. Success !! Front heated screen back to full pelt. All I need now is to source a blower motor or better still, find another solution to my heating woes.
Thank you Darren and thank you forum.
Tried in the wanted section, hoping for more joy in here. It seems cosy in here ?
Looking for relay for the front heated screen on my RRC. PRC6796. Can't see any on the auction site.
Anyone got a donor car that would have one?
Hello guys and gals, haven't posted in a while but just after the RRC gets another fresh MOT, the front heated screen keeps switching itself on. Once I turn it off it comes back on randomly.
I've had the switch out and disconnected it, but the heated screen still comes on even with the switch off.
Any thoughts? Doing my nut in ??
Well all went well and the "clicking" has gone. Not sure if it was due to having barely no EP90 in it or grease, but its done the trick. Will still order the parts and get the CV's done ASAP.
Here's a few sample pics of the weekend.
VC checked out doing the simple test.
Now filled with fresh one shot grease on both sides.
Will not apply power (much) on full turn.
Good amount of tools and axle stands I have (if not it'll give an excuse to put in my Xmas order)
So I have the camera at the ready
Ideally if I had more time and feeling a bit more confident I would.
As my good mechanic can't squeeze me in before the drive, he told me to load it with one shot and do it as soon as you get back before heading out again.
I am praying this will be ok? Took it out after loading it up with one shot and it is quieter.
I am very tempted to order the CV and gaskets needed and do this one side before I go. I've got this weekend.
Viscous good thanks for tip
Grease monkey says "sounds very dry"
Took some pics and the one that's clicking was almost bone dry.
In one of the pics you can see condensation on the swivel housing.
