  5. Hi folks. Once again I'm out in the garage doing what I thought was gona be a simple disc and bearing change is turning out a pain. Question is how do I get the old disk away from the hub? Undo the bolts I hear you cry ! Hmmmm there is a metal plate inside the disk preventing me from getting to the hub bolts . I'll post a pic as soon as I upload it to photobucket. How the hell do I get that plate out? I've undone the five 10 mm bolts that I thought held the disk on but it's still not shifting . Help !!

  7. Would ssy they need to be moved about 10-20 degrees. Decisions decisions !
  8. Got the oil cooler fitted for now The winch is a tight fit alright, but i reckon i can bend the original pipes to accomodate moving the cooler up to avoid the winch. Only trouble is it may kink the pipes?? There's enought play in the pipes to do it. Has anyone tried to bend these pipes?
  9. does anyone have the link for the tech archive thread? Think it's gona need relocated :-(
  10. I think there's a place east end radiators at Alexandria parade. Might give him a wee ring. If I can't source another one I'll try the chemical metal and see dust joy that brings. Cheers for the imput :-) keep it coming !
  11. I think I need to get the cooler off then fit the winc. It may slide in then be able to refit cooler. I'll defo have a look at the archive thread as my luck will need a relocation.
  12. Had a look today and looks much like a plumbing job so shouldnt be too bad a job (he says owning a landie) Just need to try source one now. As long as the oil isn't pumping i'm assuming there will only be spillage from the pipes? Cheers

  15. Having went a run to get bolts etc to put my winch bumper on I discovered when I parked up there was oil leaking from one side of my oil cooler just before it oies into the connector at the end on the right hand side!! Can't see exactly the spot where it's coming out of but can anyone help in a fix? Would it need a new cooler or there somit I could do to sort it? Will add a pic asap cheers guys. In the garage just now with cuppa in hand.
  16. Haha well done on fixing it! My 92 is........ Pull towards to Wash/wipe(holding it towards you to wash) to switch on.........push away(click)......... to turn off, push away again(click). Still haven't figured out how to get it to make me a cuppa yet! :-)

  18. Yep, the seal wasn't holding the water in, instead it was escaping causing me to think and get tests done etc.......... Blooming £6 fix along with new expansion tank kindly supplied by a fellow offroader and no more water loss after getting an air lock out!!
  19. Are you positive it's the head gasket? I was losing water in mine when i first got it and this was the suspected cause of loss of water and over heating etc. Turned out to be the expansion cap.(serviceable item) wasn't allowing the pressure to build so the water was escaping, this along with a hair line crack in the expansion tank was the culprit!! Wouldn't drive it if it not right, ye'll just make it worse.
  20. You prob already know so forgive the reply, but make sure it's bone dry before and after for at least 24 hours to get the best results.
