  1. i know of lots of leaking on the plus 2" terra stuff, the plus 5" are better but i would save the extra and buy new ome....
  2. well in that case! might give them a call tomorrow and enquire.... WHY?????
  3. I thought i'd keep the orignal look in the 90 fuse box. but like you say i will change! thanks
  4. yep the rust well dont they? a lond of copper ease can sort this but never 100%. Cut the bolts either side of the trailing arms and remove. use OE bushes and new bolts shouldn't have the problem again
  5. Yeah i agree, but as the relays are the same (not including the fan control relay) i thought no damage would occure. I'm starting to wonder if it is a poor contact on the old type glass barrel fuse. i am thinking of changing it to flat blade type fuse to see if this cures the heat problem. In theory i could connect direct to ignition and perm live as the efi loom has its onwn fuses anyways. i just wanted to play mega safe and unterlise the two spare fuses i had in the fuse box as the efi conntection is next to the fuse box also.
  6. I'm sure Gwyn will be able to sort you out give him a call..
  7. Good question... I pretty sure i left them as is... (metal cover type) i may of change the two over between them. It is somthing i will check thou. thank you. After the leads, plugs, rotar arm and cap its running absolutely beautiful!
  8. OK had a good poke around tonight. all seems ok, wiring is as it should be. i have been meaning to put new plugs, leads rotor arm and cap on for a while (genuine stuff) that got her running again.... (so maybe when i ran her for very short journeys she got alittle flooded) i still notice the fuse getting warm.... not hot like before but warm.... but everything else is ok now..
  9. mine have all been 3.9l with abs all 24 spline... oh well nothing wrong with 10 spline..... people talk about 24 being sooooooo much stronger i dont believe it... depends how well each have been maintained IMO
  10. Does sound alittle strange, every rrc 1990 - 1992 with abs i have broken up as been 24 spline with. maybe its not the orignal axel?
  11. The earths are earthed to the chassi, i see your point about the earth possible becoming lose inside ecu or pin (ecu connector) tried another ecu same fault.
  12. i had a similar thing on mine, turned out to be the batter Terminals. (wire going in to the battery terminals) cut and new ones on perfect
  13. I thought along the same lines also. Just seems VERY odd that since i lifted and re-riveted the ecu back onto the bulk head i have this issue.....I have stipped the out plastic wiring casing to check for any cables that may of rubbed through etc. all in perfect condition.. Any ideas on what i could do to test whats going on?
  14. I'd be giving ashcrofts a call or simular...
  15. I have a 14 cux 3.9 system from a rrc into a 90. all working perfectly. Then I decide to fit rubber interior and carpet to the truck and now running really poorly and the main wire (orange and something thick wire to ecu) gets hot. my question is does the ECU need a good earth as in the unit itself? all i did was lift the ecu and two relays up and fit carpet and the riveted them back on (rear bulkhead) over the carpet and then had this problem. She started and ran on say 4 cylinders and I moved her 50 feet and switch off. I noticed a slight warm plastic smell and noticed that the fuse holder was starting to melt a little (fuse is only 10amp) to the orange cable to ecu (i think its main feed to ecu) I switched off fast. Then rechecked everything i had done and still the same. So the only thing I can think of is the ecu mount itself needs a good earth. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks
  16. Agree totally. if it leaks then you now you have seal problems and should be corrected. if oil can get out water can get in! I know alot of people that use one shot because it leaks if they use ep90...... basically they can not be arsed to fix the real issue. But if there is no leak, then why not just you ep90? far eaiser to get in as you dont have the sachet anyways?
  17. I'm leaving from the isle of man friday night and should be there for all of saturday should be a giggle!
  18. I have them on a 90. they are alittle firmer but as to be expected. the ride is firm but far. and improvement if anything. i run OME shocks and shes now a racing machine
  19. OLD MAN EMU for me every time... standard length or plus 5" outstanding in everyway.
  20. I have front and rear. run standard shafts cvs etc. never had a problem for a couple of years. then recently had 1 shaft 1 diff and 2 cv's gone in a short period. As above really. but if you drive carefully and dont have 35" tyres then stick one in the front too Oh and i run ARB front and rear too and now uprated shafts and cv's
  21. Do you get much reflection off the screen at night with the switches on top?
