I was in the same boat as you. I thought I would get some rough country shocks for me gwyn lewis kit (I already had scrapiron springs) so I got them because at the time I couldn't afford old man emu. I don't like the rough country shocks as they are just too soft, there is not enough damping so they act like a pendulum. I will now purchase some old man emu at £345 for a set. I can't remember how much the rough countrys were, but basically they are simular to pro comp in every other way, around £160 to £180 for the set. This means old man emu if you buy them straight away are effectively £160 to £180 cheaper!
Also, I have had the bearmach springs as well. These were used with de carbon dampers (which I would recommend to you at £40 to £45 each) they are a good damper for on and off road, however the springs were rubbish. Very stiff and off road were just a nightmare!
I would not recommend the scorpion springs that I run either as they seem to get softer without sagging?! but if you use the correct damper like the delphi de carbon then they are ok.
It may be worth waiting and saving to get the right stuff, I didn't and it will now cost me much more
