  1. We ran 32/11.5 BFG mt's on the wolfrace wheels in this advert with no probs, and that was on a rrc and a 90. But my computer has just shut half of the options off my screen and now I can't put up a link! Will post it up later
  2. Mine are made by BT Fabrications. 16" and 32 bolts
  3. i use the golddigger one and is very simular to the devon one. Also, interestingly the last challenge that I competed in found us trying to get the ground anchor in quite a soft bank. A friend of mine tried the section first with the x-eng anchor and could not get it to bite any where. I had a go with my golddigger anchor and in the same bank it dug in and pulled up a treat. I have found that the x-anchor doesn't dig in as well as the golddigger and that was not the only time..........
  4. I have used old man emu castor correction bushes with standard rrc arms and they worked fine. They are now for sale on here for £25
  5. You should find the info required here
  6. From when it was on the page of autotrader, to the step of bobtailing, after..........and now. Although it is away having a little more work done atm, so will post up more in a couple of weeks.........
  7. The arches look good there Reggie Do the tyres rub much?
  8. I have used an electric window switch for years and that works superb
  9. I was in the same boat as you. I thought I would get some rough country shocks for me gwyn lewis kit (I already had scrapiron springs) so I got them because at the time I couldn't afford old man emu. I don't like the rough country shocks as they are just too soft, there is not enough damping so they act like a pendulum. I will now purchase some old man emu at £345 for a set. I can't remember how much the rough countrys were, but basically they are simular to pro comp in every other way, around £160 to £180 for the set. This means old man emu if you buy them straight away are effectively £160 to £180 cheaper! Also, I have had the bearmach springs as well. These were used with de carbon dampers (which I would recommend to you at £40 to £45 each) they are a good damper for on and off road, however the springs were rubbish. Very stiff and off road were just a nightmare! I would not recommend the scorpion springs that I run either as they seem to get softer without sagging?! but if you use the correct damper like the delphi de carbon then they are ok. It may be worth waiting and saving to get the right stuff, I didn't and it will now cost me much more
  10. I got a 6 point part external/internal P+P cage in 51mm CDS
  11. As for wheels, I would recommend 8x15 with anything between 3" and 3 3/4" backspacing
  12. Or.........33's will fit fine with just the extended arches, say 50mm arches. This way you keep your COG as low as posible. The other option would be a 1 or 2" lift on the springs but defo not a body lift. I run 35" simex on a rrc with just 2 3/4" lift and 50mm arches. HTH
  13. I rang scorpion up the other day and they had "competitive" prices, helpful advise, and they seemed to know what they were talking about.......oh and they seemed organised, which is everything they didn't have before.
  14. Was stolen last week in the area of Shalford. The challenge truck was built by LRS engineering and has the advertising on it. It has the chassis from a series 2 discovery, 4.0v8, rag-top, straightforward supplies double beadlock wheels with simex, scorpion racing shock mounts and shocks (long travel), 8274 with xp motor etc. This is a pretty custom motor so if anyone sees or heres of this sort of stuff for sale etc. please let me know or LRS engineering 01371 850450 There will be other pics of it around as it did challenges like tay forest and 3 peaks etc. here are a few from mission4x4 Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 Picture 4 Picture 5 Picture 6 Picture 7 Picture 8 Picture 9 Thanks
  15. Haha! Done it! This game brings out the really mature side of you
  16. How do you find a barn to fit a stupid snorkel!!!
  17. It is weird that you say Nige that champion don't seem to work I have had champion triple silicone leads on for over 3 years now (were fitted when we bought it). How many problems?????..........None! Thanks to me trusty lunch box sealing the coil, I can happily pressure wash the whole engine at every angle, and it still either keeps running or starts first time Anyway, back on proper topic
  18. Yep, I have a straight through rimmer bros silencer in the center and janspeed manifolds and it makes 5000rpm sound like 7000rpm, and with a nice raspy roar, much better IMHO
  19. Nope, but multiply that with 32 and you have 160ft lbs holding you tyre bead on the rim.
  20. For the 32 bolts rings you will require 5ft lbs on each bolt
  21. 10.5" is the same as 265 so if you are happy with that...........stick with that. 10.5 is a good width for most conditions. And 33 will be around 1" taller than the 265/75
  22. The d44 bobtail had the 2" lift yes, but also a 30mm bodylift
