  7. Nige When it comes to AC/DC tig sets you do get what you pay for! I have just sent back 1 of my new tig sets it was a CEA 250amp single phase what a pile of S**T total waste of £2100 so i ended up spending nearly £8000 on a full all singing and danceing KEMPI 350 amp set, water cooled etc.If you are after a DC only tig the best one at the mo is the BUTTERS 160 HF single phase i use one every day and only cost £500 ish. Chris

  9. Hi Just got the 1st batch of arms back from the platers,we eventually decided on electroless nickle plating, same as we used to use on the gravel WRC subaru and forcus suspension arms.Said arms used to see gravel blasted at them for 3 days solid and always came out in one piece, when the underside of the car was shot to bits. Not cheap to do but they do look spot on dont you think. Chris
  10. 45 x 2.6mm strength wise is more than up to the job, more so with the skid plates attached.Yep 10 mm DOM would be stronger in 45mm but the weight would be daft. Chris
  11. Just a quick update. Plated arms £215 a pair Powder Coated £185 a pair Also differant retaining washers to aid rear flex ( pics to follow) £22 a axle set. All above inc vat. Chris
  12. The arms will be supplied with 2,4 and 6mm shims for setting up length AND to rid the rear end crabing, have you ever the checked a landy on a proper wheel alignment set up . Also i have some new bush retaining spacers being made as we speak to aid the chassis - arm flex. Jez the plateing that my people do is not strictly nickle plating as we know it will let you know exactly what it is,we used it on the WRC car suspension arms on gravel events it never chipped, scratched or marked ??? also it was easy cleaned with duck oil and some scotch brite. Chris
  13. i.t.r.o 15mm at the highest point. Chris
  14. Nickel plating will last alot longer than powder, the finish is a satin grayish colour. Chris
  15. I think they will work out being £180 inc vat,it depends on what the cost is to get them powder coated or nickle plated.????? Chris
  16. Just thought i would post up a couple of pics of the proto rear arms i have been busy putting together. SPEC 45 x 2.6 mm CDS 2 They will be for sale once they have done abit more testing, not sure on cost at the mo. Chris
