  1. Not a good day for us!!! Snapped both front shafts on the 1st punch of the day!!!! No spares with us!! Sh*t happens. But had an excellent laugh on the night stage. Oh and Mr Turners truck is looking pretty good.
  2. I wouldnt even call it welding,my 4 yr old daughter could do better than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think most of the people on here would struggle to weld THAT BADLY!
  3. Nige why dont you put 1 togther yourself??? I have got a few different drawings of 3 link setups which would be pretty straight foward to put together, they are based on a few ideas seen on a few 3 link setups i have seen.???? Chris
  4. So Chris hope you will be wearing your X-Eng t-shirt!!
  5. Me and James are in ,will be nice to get away from the workshop!!!!!!!!!! I dont think Steve Marlow is at 7 sisters ??
  6. Nope ,not really done anthing with Edd,s as yet!!! apart from some drawings!!! I am just busy at the mo finishing "curlys" two motors off for next tuesday
  7. Sounds like you lot said it all Cage spec is purely down to what the motor is being used for,as Lara said weight up high does not help with body roll or side slope angle. For most "club" situations 1 3/4" CDS is well up to the job of saving your neck, there is two ways to go either very stiff i,e thick wall tube or the more norm 2.5mm wall CDS. In the event of a "BIG" roll i would rather the cage deform and absorb the energy of the impact than it be still straight as a die.The nergy has to go somewhere and if the cage dnt take it your seat mounts and then your back/neck are next in the firing line. As for buying cheap it,s up to you to me it,s like buying cheap crash helmets you do get what you pay for. Chris
  8. The drawings are already done may well be a sub 1300kg challange motor B) B)
  9. Daan I have got 150 and 170 clr tooling, the bed to use the mandrell set up is order BUT the way it bends this current batch of Clubman 500 i dont think it needs it!!! Saying that with the bed you can bend off more than one plane very easy also by adding stops it MAKES EVERYTHING THAT MUCH MORE ACCURATE
  10. Thats what happens when u King cab a 90 AND put a cage in,coz ai dont think a king cabed 130 would manage around the trees
  11. At long last i have got what we needed for soooooooooooooooooooo long, this is the second machine in as many weeks The 1st machine by a differant manufacturer was to say the least was S~~T i spent 4 days traveling back and forward between here and sunny essex TRYING to sort the thing out!!!! The people who import this machine were about as usefull as wood saw in a steel factory. So after putting in excess of £300 worth of Clubman 500 and T45 through it at the weekend i admitted defeat,so off it went back to the fools that supplied it to me first thing monday morning. After frantic phone call to a few differant manufactures etc i came across the importers of "ercolina" benders.Within 5 mins of speaking to them they offered to come up with a machine the following day to "demo" it for me. Well it was the nuts ,it did exactly what it said on the tin and the service could not be better.
