Couldnt bother to read full post but r u building 101 Salisburys ?????? if so why not just use 101 lockers & shafts you can get ARBS or Detroits.
Ive run 38.5" Boggers 300+ HP & never even scratched a shaft { got full spare new set for £200} .
I run 42 " tyres know & havnt Broken anything !
Why fit D60 shafts or if you want what i plan is to just get 22 spline better shafts if needed!
Naa !!!! just thought that the boring B***tards on this site might strart letting there hair down a bit & start a bit of harmless p***taking
You know me ill settle with just finishing
Or even fitting around the site with my nice new 42S
Cant wait though
Yep with Bryn no point making life too easy he has about as much luck as me with reliability
Let us know whwn the next 1 is
Had result of the year today & I NOW BELIEVE IN FAIRYS friend sujested putting ECU in airing cupboard {i didnt believe in fairys then} took it out today & refitted BINGO works fine
Just got to work through rest of the list now
Actually yes we did but surely youn cant count 6ft deep water hole a break down
We were only being pulled back to get the spare ECU & if i knew we would loose points for it we would of limped home in fault mode & fixed it but **** happens .
Also broke though
Gear box mount.
Rear lense.
Shifter cable pulled loose when mount broke.
Starter jambed & with a clump worked for the rest of the day.
New ECU took 2 hrs to learn & wouldnt idle & kept stalling all the time .
Bent the HI Lift .
Also didnt relise that we would loose ppoints for being late etc on this event
But had a good day which was hard work with a winch bitch that had never been before on a event before.
Good day James ,good site well done Well it was a good day when the engine stopped rattling in the water hole
Thanks Peter
Yep you all learn the hard way.
Fitted RR axles ,fitted uprated shafts ,hub protectors cv conversions etc ect .
Shouldnt bothered just fit bigger axles .
As you say its easy to look back & say why !!!!!!!
To Quote -That's not worth the points, lets leave it"
UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Now thats my problem i just never think that
Anyway what the f*** do it or dont just dont ban portals or big tyres& im happy , well portals at the moment you can ban
Ive use mine in this country & France it worked fine up to 80 Degrees
But if you read the instructions on most of the plug in type they work but chilling -30 degrees below the outside temp or something like that .
So in Morocco it wont work too well i think
Expect delivery August 200&F*** know with the rest of the bits to follow.
But to be fair it will be good when it eventually does come .
Bit like my missus
I have apair of 101 axles all welded up for coil sprung vehicle & 3 link .
Drum brakes no lockers £1000
Lockers £1500 a pair supply only.
disc brakes £1800.00 pair supply.
total =£4300.00
seems a lot but fit & forget.
RR axle.
Lockers £1500.00
Uprated shafts £1000.00
Uprated CVs £300.00
Maxi drive flanges ????
Fit new shafts every weekend £
Here here had both personally never have kAM again the sliding sleave will jamb on or of if the shaft twists even a little bit.
better than that get rid of the LR axles now whilst you havnt spent any money & put on decent axles.
Ive got one on the Tub it lasted the MT the other week with me abusing it .
It doesnt over run any faster if anything it pays out slower due to the smaller drum diameter & new brakes etc .
But the F***r dont slow down at all i never used a snatch block all weekend & my team mate used 1 on at least 4 sections .
Its the dogs nuts as far as im concerned as long as Jim gives me a new straight drum
