Hi all here's a good one bought a recon engine about 3yrs ago (bit of a slow project) cant find the reciept anywhere ! searched high and low .The company i bought it from has now ceased trading (great) all above board ,but i'm now ready to fit this unit Anyone any suggestions , engine is simply stamped Recon unit thats it ? any help would be gratefully recieved

Hi have you tried loosening the pipes at the injector (just a couple) turn it over on the key till fuel comes out nip them up and you should be away

The "Mechanic" at your clients sounds like a bright lad ! would check the intercooler tho

Hi mate changin oil and flitters wont stop Mayo it maybe poppin and bangin on start up due to watter in the cyls sounds like head gasket to me !

What about disco 2 seats for the front easy conversion and really comfy also no added hieght only 5'10"but found rrc seats a bit much

If they want it they will take it I live with that constant worry, so much so i thinkin of selling it and gettin an old series 11 sorry cant help but what i said is true

spot of careful filing try tape on the area to be filed stops paint flaking

Got qiute a bit of lift on my transfer box flange (leave it) had me worried at first but no problems last 10000miles no bad vibes tho Do you have a suspension lift ?

If you have got room a cheap trolley jack would be easier

All you need is a m14 bolt of suitable length drill it up the centre 5mm take the drill out turn it round insert it all in the bellhousing and as they say Robert is your mothers brother

Tweeked my pump 300tdi defender only gettin about 15 mpg fast as fook tho no only jokin not driven bad still only about 15 tho no not tweeked wrong niether probably the m/t tyres
