tommobot
I've got myself a new early defender 110. It has 3 sets of rear seats, but none currently installed. 3 separate L shaped basic seats. 1 solid bench - it appears this is what the car has brackets for I think. There is another set, need to look at them in a bit more detail. I want to install the 3 separate L shaped basic seats, and then get a set of the Exmoor trim upgrade seats. I think I need the mounts on the car, the same as on the photo attached. Can I simply get these mounts and attach them on.. I also have a panel with central seat belts and inner and outer seat belt clips.. I have no idea where this goes.. shown in dark photo I've taken
western
in this 110 parts book http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/10_trim_seats_stowage_accessories_p910-1075.pdf is the 1. 60/40 split 2nd row seats pages 981 to 988 2. the 3 individual seat pages 989 to 992. the extra plate with seat belt bits on is not used on the pre Puma 110's seat-belt fixings are on page 1034 [my 110 is a 1989, I can take some pics if you need them. neil110
On page 6 of the aforementioned parts book it also has the dimensions for positioning the seat belt anchoring points in the rear floor of a station wagon. Oh and don't forget the reinforcing brackets which fit behind the diagonal part of the "C" pillar. Of course depending on age your vehicle may already have these items fitted. The lower mounting brackets you seek are: 2No https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=mtc6793&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=10 1No https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=mtc6794&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=10 1No https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=mtc6795&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=10 Don't know if you already have them fitted but you will also need the 2 seat retaining latches and their mounting brackets which fit on the sloping part of the rear wheel box. Which just leaves the strikers that are fastened to the side of each outer seat, that you may or may not have. https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=336294&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=10 https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=336288&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=10 https://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?query=mtc6792&xBrand=&part_type=&xSupplierID=&product-sort=&xPerPage=

Ed Poore
Are you hunting for the parts or do you already have them? I've removed the three (half height) backs from my 300Tdi with all associated bracketry (stuff that goes on wheel arches and through the floor), also got the three seats. Drop me a PM if you're interested - they're just taking up space so could do with clearing them out if you're interested.

joshremlin
I quite like the high backed seats, my 110 has some in which are considerably older than yours and have a company name on the back for the seat conversion. It doesn’t really help you I know!
=jon=
The seats in the pic look like they might be something like Smart car seats - certainly never seen them fitted like that before though!
Gazzar
I was thinking that, integrated seat belt upper retainer. I wonder......
tommobot
There not mine, they were the only decent photo I could find of the 110 chassis brackets for the chair mounting. Turns out, they may not even be them!

Peaklander
This is it. Pic taken towards front of rear wheel arch. The anchor bolt for each side’s seat inertia reels goes through to that stiffener. Edit: I should say that I mean the anchor at the end of the web that forms the lap belt. Edited March 21, 2018 by Peaklander Clarified what I mean
tommobot
Starting to order parts. The car has the brace on the underside of the wheel arch. <a href="https://thumbsnap.com/QoOK1MaA" title="Image Hosted by ThumbSnap"><img src="https://thumbsnap.com/s/QoOK1MaA.jpg" alt="Free Photo Sharing by ThumbSnap" /></a> I presume the 'step' is normal and the 3 split seats sit around it? western
Yes normal for a pre tdci 110 station wagon. bracket in front of rear arch is for the outer seat belt lower mounting.
tommobot
I've got the brackets ordered, after seat belts now. Can't seem to find much on eBay, I presume they are car specific to defender 110?
western
just order from any of the Independent LR parts suppliers. not sure if the are 110 specific.
tommobot
My brackets turned up today, in my head I was expecting to rivet them on.. Looking at them they look around M8 bolt holes, I presume its ok to bolt the seat brackets on? Dimensions / Photos and locations of the bits would be gratefully appreciated as I'm not 100% sure all where the catches go etc.. The seatbelt fixings definetly show rivets so I'll be going with rivets for them
western
Yes bolt on as per factory fit, see page 6 of http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/1_front_cover_intro_numerical_index_p1-16_&_p1076-1151.pdf gives fitting info for the 2nd row seat belt attachments for a 110SW. western
I can measure up my 110CSW rear seat brackets, but it won't be until late afternoon when I'm home from work, I have the original low back individual seat brackets but with hi-back Trakkers seat base/backrest fitted years ago. some photo's attached. tommobot
Great! Thanks for the photos.. Next problem, not being overly familiar with the seats I know I have all the original seat padding and frames. It would appear that I don't have any of the required fixings and bolts that fit to the frames. Urgh, FFS.

tommobot
Fitted the seats, all gone very well.. thanks for the help! The outer seats are fixed in place by the outer catches, is there a catch for the centre seat, or is it just held down by the 2 outers..
western
rear centre sits down first then the outers keep it in place, on the outer frame edges of the centre seat is a plate each side [in yellow ring on photo] the outer seatbelt buckle is lying on it. you should see it easy enough on your seats or on the parts book page
