iceshj
Hello all, im after some advise. Out of the blue, my 90 has started to get a very dangerous steering wobble for no apparent reason. It’s not even consistently happening. I’m not even touching the brake either. It starts gently and then the whole car is violently shaking all over the place. Any advise very much welcome. regards Dave
jeremy996
There are more than a few threads about steering wobble on here as it is not uncommon. Try this as a Google search, "LR4x4.com: steering wobble" That should be a good start - swivel pre-laod and a bush breaking down are regular causes. Paul C
I had one in my 110, first was a loose panhard bar bolt, found that when I was looking at the state of the bushes, then next time it came back it disappeared when I changed the front shocks. Junglie
Have you got spacers? That's what was causing mine (see my thread about it scaring the carp out of me)
Mo Murphy
I'd put money on panhard rod bushes ! Mo
Happyoldgit
I reckon the same, panhard rod bushes and bolts. The very same bits that very nearly ruined the second week of our honeymoon over 30 years ago.
Escape
Another vote for the panhard rod bushes. But don't forget swivel preload. If that is too low, it will put more strain on the bushes as there is less damping.
Stellaghost
I had exactly the same issues, mine was the swivel preload, once I sorted that no more issues Regards Stephen
