Hmmmmmm

Went out last night to deliver some cr*p valuable LR Spares for a mate as he couldn't get it in his car.

His (passenger seat) in my 90 is the early platic one, has a HUGE split in it and has been glued several times, I swapped the passenger (unsplit seat) with drivers and have had up to now an "OK" seat.

Heard a ripping noise  , nope not the seat cover the other seat has now gone

SO, thoughts ??

What to fit ?

Having a bad back a few definates -

ie I don't wnat bucket seats as a Real PITFA to get in and out of,

the 90 seats generally I find quite good,

the early ones in plastic are easy wipe clean etc, but horrible to sit on.

So, if I was to stya with "90" type seats what are my options ?

The cheapest (seems a good idea) is to replace the platic stuff

and then fit decent seat covers - most of the 90 seat covers I have seen are about as good a fit as a bin liner on a lawnmower, and poor quality too.

What are the "Nicest" seat covers from where and why ?

What other seats could I consider, ?

and I still want to be able to take the sqaubs out for battery / fuel tank areas etc ?

You can buy new cushions etc. from most places but Exmoor seem to the be the place for pukka seating. My seats are exmoor refurbs and they're luvverly (in the black "Land Rover" fabric, very bling :D)

I'd be wary of sporty/buckety seats as they may seem like a good idea on paper but you'll get peed off clambering in and out of them all day.

Seems a shame Exmoor only do stuff for defender or series seats. I need to do something with the disco ones, as both the back and the base are screwed... anyone have any suggestions for discoverys while we are on the topic?

I've got sierra seats in mine. Really comfy.

Undo with 4 nuts and come out if you really need to get to the tank/batterys, but to be honest I cant remeber the last time I needed to get to either of them! Fuel pumps/ sender units basically rarely go wrong, and with an isolator switch on the battery cabling why do you need to get to the batteries?

My personal preference is for car seats as they're more comfy. Buckets are a PITA.

I have a disco seat in the loft of my garage Mark. It is tan and in fair nick. Yours for a £10 if you want it.
