jules
I'm looking at my CB and my Disco's dash and I can't find a way to make it look neat and tidy so any suggestions welcome please
BogMonster
Up in the headlining, just above and behind the rear view mirror. Out of the way, the audio is excellent, and it is easy to reach for operating - plus if you hang the mike in the right place you can usually use it without taking it off the hook for a quick "yes" or "no". Mine is a 2m VHF rig rather than CB but as long as the set is not too big it'll be fine there

I was looking at VHF rigs while in Aus and there is a very good range of dash board friendly rigs were as the CB's IME are sometimes a bit bulky and I'm yet to find a removable front one which I think is the tidiest fitment I've seen

Divster
Not CB, but my high band VHF set is mounted to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel. easy for operation and no problems with acoustics so far.

Don't have a clue as to what the differance is as i am not a radio nerd or enginer But certainly alot clearer than the old CB's Apart from thet i think they are the same as the little radios we used to use in the clubs (i think)

Ultra High Frequency is higher than Very High Frequency. Rumours that a new spectrum is to be announced called FFFFHF have not been substantiated

expat69
In my Disco1 (fairly similar) I fitted my CB in the headline pocket over the driver head (I just had to unscrew it a bit) and it just fit. I put the speaker and the mic near the sunroof controls and ran the wires under the headlining.
BogMonster
Humble apologies. I thought CB was still powered by shoveling coal in the back of the set we don't have it here so it was "historical knowledge" - obviously a bit too historical
