andyb
IIRC some/all of the large Clarke trolley jacks are 'rebadged' Sealey, so are pretty good VFM.
Bigfoot
I bought a Sealey 3 tonne jack about a thousand years ago - it has always given sterling service.

simonr
I've got a Halfords 3 ton speed lift jack from Halfords (bought for me by my lovely kind wife ;-) I'm pretty impressed with it all in! Today, I ordered my self (for Xmas ) a plasma cutter! Bought from John Davies, reccomended by someone on a different site. Unless it turns out to be made of chocolate, they seem very good value! I'll report on it when I find out. That should let me prototype some more interesting stuff more easily (that was my justification anyway!). SteveG
Omega version from Difflock £70 and well worth the moneyhere I'd second the vote for the difflock one. Had mine for 3 years now, excellent and very stable. 17mm shy of your requirement Nige so probably not good enough!! I thought you were going to have the lowest 90 around too!!
