najw
Having painted my newly made winch bumper with Hammerite yesterday to cover the bare metal, I decided to spray it with Stone Chip paint today for a nice finish. Unfortunately the Stone Chip paint has 'melted' the Hammerite and turned it into mush - cracks all over the place - dripping off - not nice. Anyone any ideas how I can now remove it all and start again. Sanding doesn't work as it just clogs the paper...

Log
Perhaps you should read the instructions on the tin next time! Hammerite can take weeks to cure. Lof
Steve Hiatt
If all else fails and the metal is thick, you could put in on a bonfire... Not that I know much about painting.
