Kim Horsevad
Maybe this is the new kind of off-roading. Saves some weight by negating the need for amour protecting from trees and rocks.... Says in the article that the car is road-legal! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7821979.stm

FridgeFreezer
That's bizzarre - I was stood next to a chap today buying lights & batteries & cable for a Land Cruiser & Unimog who are running as support crew for that. Personally I'm not sure I'd fancy taking a Unimog into the desert, but each to their own.

FridgeFreezer
kein problem Still rather have the MAN Ben's driving. There's little reason to have a souped up tractor on heavy portals in the desert, if you're deep enough to need the clearance you're probably well stuck anyway. Soren Frimodt
Flying kind of takes the fun out of going offroad dosn't it?? I would see no problem in using a Mog for desert crossing.. But of course the portal's will not be of any good use most of the time.
jules
Mogs are the best medium sized truck the MAN's, Tatra's and Layland Daf's etc. are all the big trucks but there's not much in the way of light 4x4 trucks comparitively speaking. does look fun
