Mo Murphy
I'm sure that I once read that metal versions of these can be bought from plumbers merchants. What do I ask for and what size thread should it be for 300 Tdi ? I ask this as the top of the plastic rad one just blew off past my ear as the rad pressurised during the commissioning of my refitted engine, oops ! Mo I got some from a plumber merchant, I took one of the plastic plugs & matched the thread size. I think there called blanking plugs. Use plenty of ptfe tape when you fit the new ones.
