2nd hand Mach 5's - what are they worth?

Are the Mach 5 spokes solid or hollow? I've never looked at one apart from seeing them on a few vehicles.

The spokes are hollow, I believe the wheels are only about 1/2 kg heavier than a ZU rim.

They are very strong wheels, just look how many comp safari vehicles are running them.

I would imagine that the alloy zu rims do not suffer the same problem since being cast solid they would have different stress concentrations than the welded tube of the steel mach 5's....

Hardly any now, mainly newbies with Tomcats plodding around at the back of the field. There are one or two exceptions, of course.

Compomotive wheels seem to be more in fashion now, Braid seem to have lost favour. Personally I prefer steel wheels, at least if you have a puncture you can carry on and a new wheel will only cost you £30.

That was why I asked if the M5s were solid or hollow :)

If I was going to spend a fortune on bling alloys I think it's be the 8.5x16 Compomotive AT's, saw a vehicle with those and 305/70R16 BFG MT's on a couple of years ago and it looked fantastic :)

Wow!!!

I'll knock £60 off that each for unpainted ones or £90 off for non-beadlocks unpainted, and I've got them in stock.

(Even cheaper if you collect them)

:) And a proper job

Should have change my non beadlock Macks years ago to beadlocks, very pleased how they worked at Manby,,

Ran Mack 5 for the past 5/6 years,, after bending disco steels, Modula's, and a wolf rim,, NEVER had one problem with a Mack 5

Power coating costs £35 a piece, + vat down here,,

5 x black Mack 5 rolled rims coming up for sale soon
