landrover598
Any suggestions of good insurance company at the moment who would cover a Q plate landy? My NFU policy has gone up masively from last year so looking for a good alternative.
western
frank pickles crops up a few times in other vehicle insurance threads on here
landroversforever
Try Adrian Flux, I'm sure they have a specific Q plate insurance. They also know their land rovers... when I said mine had a different engine I was asked was it a 200tdi, then asked if it was a defender or disco lump. FridgeFreezer
Another vote for Flux here, but I think everyone's policies have been going up as I've heard quite a few people with NFU say the same thing, only to find on shopping around that no-one else is much better. Daan
Adrian flux I use, they were good at £226 fully comp. Its good value insurance, however, I had to accept only 4k insurance value of my car, which isn't enough if I ever needed it. Daan
edessex
I've always steered clear of Q plates due to insurance issues, but I have heard good things about Flux... Worth a shot.
landrover598
Thanks guys, Pickles turned me down last year as my 100" isn't modified enough for them! I'll give Flux and 2gether a go tommorow, any others worth a try?

Daan
Could they not do agreed value? that was agreed value, meaning take it or leave it.
FridgeFreezer
that was agreed value, meaning take it or leave it. I got more than that agreed value from flux, did have to fill out a load of forms though and there is an upper limit. It's a classic policy so comes with a few restrictions (mileage) which can't be negotiated
biggles
You could try tesco's they were quite happy with my td5 on a q plate with lift , winch etc, only went to flux as I fitted a cage, wouldn't insure it after that, fully comp was about £250 before. Flux came out at around £350 fc , with every thing listed

Bowie69
a few restrictions (mileage) which can't be negotiated Not that I would advocate it, but speedos stop working pretty often in the world of Land Rovers!
landroversforever
Thanks guys, saved nearly £300 with Flux. Excellent news . Was this over the new NFU quote or what you paid last year?
