stuck
Gent's, I'm getting a little tired of the fire extinguisher in my CCV truck flying around the cabin when the going gets rough. It's mounted in one of those cages that has a springy bit that goes around the neck. How have you secured yours? Looking for ideas that don't mean your truck goes up in flames whilst you try to get the extinguisher out. Ta muchly, Mick.
ballcock
Mines got a rclip that holds the springy bit in place can't you cable tie it and have a cheap knife attatched for emergencies. or drill it and fit an rclip.

stuck
Cheers Fozsug, Just found something similar on the demon tweaks website. You should see the price of some of their extinguishers!
western
or use a old seatbelt cut to the required length & attached to secure the extinguisher in place. rather than buy extinguishers outright, you can rent them from ChubbFire or other suppliers & get the yearly service included 7 free refills or replacements. fozsug
Cheers Fozsug, Just found something similar on the demon tweaks website. You should see the price of some of their extinguishers! Everything is twice as expensive on Demon Tweaks!
sutty_32
Could also use a quickfist, they make them big enough for a fire extinguisher. Not sure how much they are though
Henry Webster
Or velcro ties. Equally they do them big enough for an extinguisher and should be more than tough enough and easy to undo in a hurry. They will be going back in my car when I put it back together.

Maverik
John's link is what I used to use- works very well! Yeah, we've got extinguisher brackets in all the MR wagons, and they're located in the passanger footwell, suprisingly they don't get in the way that much. - and I've just bought one of those brackets off fleebay - I've been looking for one for some time! mmgemini
The military brackets to me are the way to go. Not had mine come loose. Tim You should have the extinguisher checked at less than five years and the fluid changed. Says he who needs his doing.
