tjolliffe
Hi all, Does anyone know of the best place to get a re-con defender 200 turbo or where to get one reconditioned? Cheers Tom
cackshifter
Les Henson (fount of knowledge on all matters Land Rover) used to recommend Turbo Solutions in Doncaster http://www.turbocharger-solutions.co.uk/ I have no experience of them, but Les's advice is consistently good. reb78
Turbo technics was who I was going to suggest. Never used them myself, but they do a lot of turbos for the tuning companies. Also, if VB recommends them, that's good enough for me.
Diablo
I can highly recommend turbo centre uk. did mine a few weeks ago
Snagger
I can highly recommend turbo centre uk. did mine a few weeks ago I used them for my 200 turbo. Apart from not dressing a groove in the seat around the top oil feed port, allowing oil to weep past the copper washer, it all seems good. The service was very quick and the price competitive. They called up to give me a detailed report just after stripping the unit to let me know what needed replacing.
Ibex94
Allards rebuilt mine and tricked it up with 360 degree bearings and a larger compressor. Really tidy job Alan is really worth talking to particularly if you'd like a little bit more out the engine. Rob
