FridgeFreezer
any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flexible-Air-Ducting-Hot-Cold-Transfer-Car-Engine-Brake-Feed-Intake-Pipe-Hose-/140671550957?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item20c0ad85ed Not really, that stuff is paper thin (fresh air ducting) and may collapse under any sort of vacuum. Wyrem hose is what I used, from the likes of Hyphose or Pirtek, or use Series 3 air intake hose which is up to about 1m in length.
Maverik
any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flexible-Air-Ducting-Hot-Cold-Transfer-Car-Engine-Brake-Feed-Intake-Pipe-Hose-/140671550957?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item20c0ad85ed Dont waste your money... I did, that stuff just isn't up for any use in an engine bay. I managed to find hoses form verious vehicles to do what I needed...

Team Idris
Closer, but what you really want is the spring trapped between two layers of rubber. Then it is easier to seal, as an exposed spring will leave radial groove for water to get in, unless you go for silicon sealer as well? (Which is a good idea anyway if it is a wading snorkel).
