siearl
Ihave posted on herein another topic ref the rear side doors if that makes sense on a 110 County. Does anyone know instead of vinyl trim forthe inside of the door if you can get chequer plated ones. Cheers Si
Divster
I don't know of any company who supplies ready cut plate to do the inside of the second row doors. However, it should be a hard job to cut a flat piece of plate to size yourself. I think it'd bit too bling for me though

Les Henson
It might increase condensation and possibly cavitate, so some kind of sound absorbtion material behind the card? Les.

mike4444244
Hi Whenever i fix tread plate down i put a bead of silicone round the edge and eveywhere it touches steel, this way it stops the drumming cos is glued down... as for cutting it its dead easy to do with a jigsaw, just take your time! mike

JST
just measure you go to the local metal supply bloke and ask him to supply them cut to size then pop rivet on. thats what i did for my mil door bottoms anyway. was going to do the top but it made road junctions trickier! about £5 for mine. western
Have a look Rebel 4x4 but the website seems to be very slow at loading pictures, just click on one of the chequer plate types.
siearl
Thanks for all the help i am starting to move away from the vinly door cards again and back to chequer plating easier to wipe clean when covered in carp and it looks that little nicer
Guest diesel_jim
I saw a company that do them, i was sure that it was rebel, but i couldn't find it on their site after i posted the link to it, maybe it was bearmach? but the top was curved all neat to fit onto the series door bottoms. mike4444244
Hi If you go down the route of buying it ready made you're probably looking at spending about 30 quid per door card, you can buy an 8x4 sheet for 45 quid, out of which you could probably do all the doors and have some left over for wingtops or something? from what i have heard if you buy it in you'll probably need to trim it anyway mike
siearl
It is looking as though it is cheaper to buy the chequer plate and custom making it

madmatt
Aalco is very competitive for chequer plate. I use the nottingham depot on Lentern lane Ind Estate. they are fairly nation wide though
dasterdly
i bought some 2 inch closed cell insulation,(from a diy store) stuck it to the inside of the door bottom, bought a sheet of 2mm ally, (from a steel stockists) cut/fit and rivetted it to all 3 doors, it was non chequer plate, is i dont need any grip on the inside of a door panel, then applied the militarys finest paint ! cheers...
