CJ1
I recently bought a nudge bar for my Discovery 2 facelift. But I don't have the bolts that are needed to secure it to the car. Are these cheap and easy to get hold of? Or is there a proper kit that can be bought that includes them? The only brackets that came with it are for the top. Nigelw
Was looking but can't find the exploded diagram now but I made bolts from thread rod for an "A" bar fitment, very cheap and morethan up to the job unless you're going ram-raiding of course

There are a few peoples cars I ram rade in my head regularly but wouldn't do it for real lol. All it needs to do is look pretty and hold a pair of spotlights so I can blind all the people who use there ruddy fog lights in all weather but fog! CJ1
Thank you sierrafery, I have now ordered the kit. The only part number I kept coming up with was for a fitting kit that didn't look anything like what the ones in the link you showed me. CJ1
check this out http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/97817/0/nudge_bar_fitting_kit_disco11 , google out the part number as you can find it in other places too The set in this link aren't the right nuts and bolts, but thanks for trying to help. I ordered them and then found the instructions on line for fitting the bar and the bits I need are different. Here is a picture taken from the fitting instructions. Does anyone know the part number for that kit please?
western
Assuming the soft A bar is LR part STC50021 LRSeries says this is the fitting kit http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/10021/STC50320-A-BAR-FIXING-KIT.html

CJ1
Thanks for trying everyone. I will keep hunting. Someone must have or be able to replicate this kit somewhere. And I determined to get this nudge bar fitted to my Landy. It is sitting in my lounge staring at me everyday lol
CJ1
I have contacted several specialists as well as BritPart directly. So hopefully will get an answer soon. I also found a brand new one for sale on Ebay with the fitting kit for £450 and have asked the seller if they would kindly take a picture of the fitting kit and measure all the bolts, nuts and sleeves. Fingers crossed I get somewhere as I really am desperate to get this fitted now.
CJ1
Every Land Rover parts dealer has fobbed me off. And then I finally got away from being blonde for a minute and realised that now I have bought a fitting kit for a different bar but for the same car, that maybe I should be asking a different question! Are all the bolts for fitting kits of nudge bars for Discovery's roughly the same length? If these are the right length, then all I need to do is get some sleeves cut to length. Can anyone please tell me the correct length of the bolts that are supposed to hold the bar on through the 33mm holes please? I am hoping to get a mate down to help me get this fitted next weekend. CJ1
Purely by chance, luck and kindness of a complete stranger on Ebay, I found out the measurements for the correct fitting bolts and sleeves. The kit I bought is way too short! The measurement of the correct bolts are 15.4cm long. The measurement of the sleeves are 13.5cm long. I hope this helps more people in the future. BogMonster
You may not get an answer as it is quite an old post. Try a private message to CJ1. If you don't have any luck, the accessory fitting instructions for all genuine accessories are in one of the RAVE manuals, so you could always try and download those from somewhere and get it that way. Or somebody who has them installed may be kind enough to look and extract the pages.
teabag
RAVE or search Land Rover Topix. https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/content/document/index?groupId=1665 Discovery 2, then year, then documents and take you pick as there's a few bull and A bars listed. Pawl12
I uploaded copies of all the Disco 2 Accessory instructions I could find some time ago to this Web page.
