chris2010
I have a defender which was originally a v8 , I need a new dash and fuse box loom. I was hoping I can get away from the glass style fuses etc , Will putting a 300 tdi loom in place , mate up to my existing chassis wiring and lighting etc ? landroversforever
Guessing from the mention of glass fuses that your car is relatively early. Pre 300tdi uses moulded plastic plugs and 300tdi are a totally different type.
western
pre 300tdi use moulded RUBBER loom connections, or just buy 2 new fuses boxes for blade fuses & just change the fuse box, or keep the glass type & give the clips a good clean up.

PaulMc
The main harness to chassis harness connectors on a 300Tdi Defender are AMP Econoseal female connectors. The mating AMP Econoseal male connectors to fit to your existing chassis harness are readily available from Polevolt - http://www.polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/Econoseal_Connectors.html . chris2010
Problem with my one is its been cut about so much there's wires that have been and wires that have been brass due to melted wired up behind the dash , so for me I don't want to risk truck going up in flames
Mo Murphy
So find yourself a nice unmolested 300 dash harness and buy the appropriate plugs to allow you to connect the existing looms to it as Paul is suggesting. Problem solved. Mo
need4speed
Agree with Mo. Find yourself a nice replacement harness that hasn't been cut about or butchered with scotchloks....
