  1. I'm a bit minimalist in mine. Most people seem intent on adding a centre dash so that can fit more switches and dials - I'm wondering what I can take out or how I can fit what I have in to the most basic and spacious dash.
  2. They do them in plain colours too. The one in the picture matches my existing front seats - which I like. You can also buy lap belts for them.
  3. Well the company is based in Liverpool and his signature says Wiltshire ......
  4. Just what you want to see !!!!!! Walking out to your Landy to this.
  5. Just for completeness and to round the thread off: I bought some uninsulated crimped spade connectors and rubber sleeves from VWP and the crimper I linked to before, from CPC. Very happy with the whole lot. The crimps turned up in super fast time from VWP and are nice quality. I prefer the uninsulated ones as they have the 2 clamps: 1 that rolls in like an M to hold the outer cable and 1 that rolls in to grip the actual wire. Like the factory ones do. The ratchet crimper is a bargain for about £20 - and for the amount it will get used (ie not day in day out) is as much as I'd want to pay really. IMO the other nice things about these uninsulated crimps is that they look more pukka than their garish insulated relatives .....
  6. I tried using bootcamp to partition my drive and install XP SP2 just for memory map - but it crashes every time during installation and it's a right devil to put right [fingerscrossed] I'm hoping that now there is MM for the OS devices, well get it on OSX ones soon. [/fingerscrossed]
  7. JJB I'm yet to fully test it - I'll report back when I have done.
  8. I've ordered one - and will report back on the quality. I have two bench seats for a 110 - which unfortunately are too long to fit in the 90 .... even though ebay adverts seem to say they are the same.
  9. All unclassified roads (tarmac or otherwise) are recorded on a document known as the List of Streets. This is the official record of all highways that are maintained at public expense and every highway authority should have one It is important to realise that the inclusion of a route on the List of Streets is not conclusive evidence that vehicular rights exist! This is because all pubic rights of way are technically highways so in theory the List of Streets could include footpaths and bridleways. In practice though this is rarely the case but it has led some authorities to question the exact status of their unclassified roads. If a route appears on both the List of Streets and the Definitive Map it is called a Dual Status route. Where this occurs there is a presumption that any motoring rights which may have existed in the past would have been extinguished by NERC.
  10. Lol ! I think I'm going to take a punt on it - with VAT from Paddocks its £43.80 the exmoor trim ones are £107.45 ... that's £60 worth of diesel I could be having fun with! All I need to now is to find something for £4.25 and I'll get free postage!
  11. Its a bench seat I want - its mainly for sitting in the back making a brew rather than carrying people about. They also fold up quite neatly for me to use the load area for fetching logs etc. That's encouraging ....... That's not !!
  12. Anyone bought one of these? I'm thinking there's not many moving parts and its half the price of exmoor trim...... what could go wrong?
  13. Dave How did you generate the .gpx files then? I'm wondering if my collection of routes and overlays is just too big to convert? maybe I should try a selection first.
  14. from the thread title - I was expecting something like this:
  15. Hi Mick not MMO - that's the memory map overlay. Its QCT files you want to look for. I've put memory map on my wife's ipad and am really really impressed. The gps locks on quickly and the maps look fantastic Each update seems to improve it and add in the features we're used to from the PC. Only thing I haven't got working yet is my overlays - it won't use MMO files - the apple software uses GPX - and when I convert mine they don't seem to work. hope that helps. Stephen
  16. Thanks Fridge - unfortunately the kit isn't on their site. I've been trying to buy from VWP - but I'm struggling with the online payment method. I'm going to have to ring up.
  17. My insurance is up in October - my last policy was £360 with NFU. I'm hoping they may be looking for business again by then....
  18. Thanks! They sell in larger quantities than I want - but I hadn't thought of the bases, so I'll look out for some.
  19. I'd go for the 2" size to match the lift on the basis that under load it should still be operating as the factory intended. By travel I mean if you were to put longer shocks on, other than to just accommodate the lift. I have mine at standard height but with 5.5" longer shocks and it regularly used to flip my ARB over.
  20. Only additional thing perhaps worth saying is that if you really increase the travel of your suspension, even at standard geometry, you'll still end up flipping it over.
  21. My problem is that I've taken people out who've turned out to be idiots. Nice in person - but drove like an "Person Resembling a Pink Starfish". Treating the countryside like a pay and play. So I think if someone wants just the route they should be prepared to make the same efforts I did in finding it out. I'm happy to take people out where I can make the decision on their character. Sadly the lanes are in too precarious a position to risk sharing with irresponsible people IMO.
  22. What do you guys use for securing the hydraulic pipes? I've found some giant cable ties that up to it - though I don't know where they came from and I've only got 2 !
