  1. We have a lane that crosses from Yorkshire into Cumbria - the Yorkshire side is closed whilst the cumbria side is open. That seems to reflect the two management styles quite well. The issue with changing status (rather than TRO's) though is pretty much a no go due to the draconian NERC act. Requests for the excemptions to NERC to be invoked had a deadline some years back - the cases they are looking at now were all registered back then.
  2. 10 minutes! Wow, yours must have fell out of the housing!
  3. If they are TD5 axles then they use standard 6mm push on connectors, so all you need to do is push down on the connector rim and pull the pipe up at the same time. Steve, from this website, wrote a very nice little guide on how to do it.
  4. Yes - next time you come we'll make certain to meet up :-) This video is of a nice lane - very narrow in one place, in fact you can see my fiend snap the mirror off his discovery. Sensitive location this one though as the start of the lane actually goes through someone's garden.
  5. If you've really got some time to spare - this is one of the Lake District's classic lanes. The clip is 20 minutes long though... Fabulous scenery from that lane - I doubt the camera comes anywhere near to capturing it.
  6. If you've got 10 minutes to spare - this one is of a really nice lane in the lake district. Difficult for a camera to capture how steep one part of it is - but it does show you its a beautiful spot. This is my friends video of the same day: 1:05 to 2:37 is of the lane I've posted where I had the HD camera mounted on the front bumper. In fact the still image the clips show is in the same spot. On the image in my clip above you can see a pallet in the wall to repair where its fell - and you can see the same in the clip below...
  7. I thought I'd start a thread to link to show some of the youtube video's I've made ... These are in high definition - so if you've the internet speed to cope with that (or the patience to make a brew whilst they load up) then they are worth watching in HD. Here's a short one to start. This river was the lowest I've ever seen it - but its a great ford:
  8. Just found this which looks like a good replacement.
  9. Not cheap ... but an option and probably cheaper than a puma bonnet?
  10. Its possibly / probably oily gunge from the EGR ?
  11. Fortune doesn't seem to be smiling on you! Chain saws to get in the back, exploding batteries ..... what next?
  12. I'd like to buy an early RRC diff off of eBay - but it's local pick up only... Is there anyone near by?
  13. They will only let you go once a year ....
  14. I think in Mcdonalds you just register and then it's free. Some starbucks are the same. I don't think you'll find many places that are simply an open network. In Italy, even for free wifi, you have to provide proof of identity - So if you access dodgy/illegal material they can show it was you using their network.
  15. Unless they email the magazine to a printers in Aus and they issue them?
  16. Mud stuff descriptions here..... pdf link part way down the page. I had to change the bulb in mine and the whole thing seemed fiddly and tricky not to break! Alternatively - change it to an after market one? eBay
  17. Fantastic! Thanks for the all the tips guys :-)
  18. I have numerous air tools; impact gun, spray guns, grinders etc - but they all seem to have different size fittings on. I tried to buy some bayonet fittings from ebay - but they turned out to be an american size and so just increased the diversity of products. As it stands mty best combination is only 2 male bayonets that will fit one of my female fittings - So, where can I buy multiple fittings without paying a fortune? All in all I'd like maybe 8 male bayonet fittings and 2 female - so if anyone could point me in the direction of a fair price I'd be very grateful. Here's a sample:
