  2. Anyone know if theres an off the shelf engine mount that bolts to the tdi engine and fits the v8 chassis mounts rather than cutting the chassis mounts off. if not wheres the best place to get the tdi chassis mounts ? cheers Nick

  8. when i spoke to mr sva man yesterday he said that provided i wasnt in the motor industry and had loads of pics/receipts for what i'm building mine would be classed as a amateur build and providing i followed there guides and applied for a new chassis number there wouldnt be any probs cant see why you cant go down this route yer it means stripping it taking pics etc but amateur build seems the way to go but yer a 90 would be easier
  9. Theres plenty of people stripping rrc etc on here and building hybrids etc recon you'll find plenty of photo's so you dont need to strip it too far

  14. yer but would a shortened chassis actually pass ? even if the rest of the mota meet the standards
  15. Anyone know if shortening a chassis i.e the wheelbase would fail an sva test I know changing anything on the chassis needs an sva but would a shortened actually pass a test ?

  20. Flat out the Disco will do 80 the 110 has seen 93 on the GPS. think i need to get my disco checked wiv a gps i can get the needle round to 110 but i recon its doing more like 90 average mpg is 28/30
  21. Had a chat wiv mr sva man yesterday basically he said that you can replace any outrigger xmember like for like i.e rusty xmember can be replaced with a new one but it must be in the same place as the original. if you replace a rrc x member or outrigger with a 90/series outrigger or move it in any direction (i.e bobtail) then you will need a test if i understood it correctly a bobtail or hybrid will need to be re-registered on a Q plate with a new chassis number
