  2. years ago at our club we had a tow ball come off as it had only been welded on wiv pigeon sh~* came off hit my old man on the shoulder then hit some one in the face we now make sure that towing points are bolted and advise to weld them aswell if they have no towing points we tell them to put a strap around the axles before going into the course
  3. yep take the front prop off then drive it if the probs gone find a new prop or get that one re-balanced
  4. you sure about this info wouldnt the axle then try running in reverse its sommit we've tried when having the engine in the back pita to fill with oil

  6. mmm think you'll find some probs with the intercooler pipes and the steering box sure you'll be able to mod it some how tho
  7. there must be an IMS near you usually better off buying the whole length as they charge for the whole length even if you only have a mtr of it
  8. use sommit like timkin bearings worth paying the extra few quid
  9. Not a hard job to do just take your time if your replacing your discs then you may aswell replace your bearings and seals that way you shouldnt be taking it all apart again in 6 months time and you'll have your old discs complete so you can use them to refer back to to see how far the bearings/seals need to be installed
  10. Dont think you can use the dash mounted controls you just haft to reach a bit further to turn it up
  11. Toady whip the clutch slave cylinder out (13mm spanner) just undo the two bolts pull the cylinder out and check if the rod is still connected to the arm you should be able to see if its pushed thru not sure if its the same on a 300 but on the 200 if the arm goes back to far it wedges itself on the bell housing

  23. I know the V8 ones are different to the tdi ones (I also cut them out of a tdi disco chassis to use) theres a company that supply actual brackets that bolt to the engine on a isuzu diesel that sit on the V8 chassis mounts was trying to find somewhere that done a similar thing for the 200tdi rather than cutting the chassis any pics of these DaveBUILT ones
  24. when i spoke the them 2 weeks ago they said as i've modded the chassis i'd need to apply for a new chassis number and would need to put a line thru my existing number but it must still be read-able incase they ever wanted to check that the RRC had been scrapped by keeping the old chassis number visible they could also supply an age related plate rather than a Q plate
  25. actuall engine mounts rather than new mounts to weld onto the chassis ?
