smoked really bad especially on startup
check your engine oil if its going up and becoming really thin
then the diaphram in the lift pump is knackered and letting
diesel into the sump
new pump and an oil change should cure it

wouldnt it use water and get hot if the head gasket has gone
will strip it at the weekend and take a look
can also make sure it's timed correctly at the same time
knew i should of washed the engine b4 putting it in the worshop
theres loads when i start it and loads and loads more when i rev it
was going to change the turbo over incase thats playing up
I have recently changed the cam belt but i think it was smoking b4 I changed it
how could i check would i need to remove the timing cover ?

guessing its probably the turbo
air filter is fine and the breather on top of the head is new
oil looks good with no water/white gunk on the filler cap
used to start on the button but is now taking a lot longer to fire up
