Anyone know if i can disconnect and remove the alarm and immobiliser on a 1991 3.9v8 auto Its only going to be used off road and I want to remove as much leccy stuff as poss Thanks

Sorry yes the trigger wheel the quote i was given was from trigger-wheels so guessing the ecu should be a good one they also sell all the mounting brackets that are needed

I was quoted £109 for the ecu last week flywheel £35 sparky bits £80 new leads £50 + a bit of wiring

Got me thinking, what have you found that made you shake your head then wish physicall violence on the designer my trainers will get the hang of the laces one day i suppose

Just had this on mine smoked really bad especially on startup check your engine oil if its going up and becoming really thin then the diaphram in the lift pump is knackered and letting diesel into the sump new pump and an oil change should cure it Nick

havent done it myself (honestly) but i know people who have used nail varnish on motorbike clocks just dont nick the wifes favourite colour

when we had probs bending ours we found using loads of lube (wd40) on the rollers and die helped might be worth a try

does sounds like an air leak also check ur intercooler

u could use standard blocks with alloy box inbetween the chassis just need to add longer bolts

What does it smell like? guessing it smells of fuel diesel cooking oil redex does sting the eyes a bit

wouldnt it use water and get hot if the head gasket has gone will strip it at the weekend and take a look can also make sure it's timed correctly at the same time knew i should of washed the engine b4 putting it in the worshop

theres loads when i start it and loads and loads more when i rev it was going to change the turbo over incase thats playing up I have recently changed the cam belt but i think it was smoking b4 I changed it how could i check would i need to remove the timing cover ?

200tdi disco any ideas what would produce loads and loads of white smoke guessing its probably the turbo air filter is fine and the breather on top of the head is new oil looks good with no water/white gunk on the filler cap used to start on the button but is now taking a lot longer to fire up
