  1. Painted some more bits yesterday, front wings, rock sliders, floor plates, door bottoms and anything else that needs painting.
  2. Painted more stuff today, front wings, door bottoms, rock sliders, floor plates The Armstong boxes they came in had Bearmach on them so hopefully they should be ok.
  3. Well that's what I've bought but don't fit, they fit my extra long flexi brake pipes but not the clutch flexi pipe as the thread is bigger and more courser than the brake ones
  4. Standard dampers fitted, I was going to fit the pro comp ones but found out the earlier ES9000's are gas filled and the later ES3000's that you get now are oil filled which I've been told don't last long and a lot of peeps fit decent oil filled std ones as decent gas filled ones as very expensive so I decided on fitting Armstrong std oil filled ones for now.
  5. Just been fitting a few bits n bobs that i ordered last week, still waiting for loads of other stuff yet but today i fitted all the shocks, fuel pipes and dipstick tube and dipstick, had to remove the front section of the exhaust to do that
  6. Hi guys Whilst I'm ordering stuff for the 2a I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere that makes / sells detachable steering wheel kits for a late 2a
  7. Hi guys I'm looking to buy a new crank case breather pipe the one that goes from the cyclone breather to sump and need the part number please
  8. Just put a £1k order in to Paddocks and ebay just need to put another order in for the rest roughly another £1.5k and that should get everything I need
  9. I use a long 3/8 extension bar its something like 15" long, some one used to make one with a plate welded to the top of the spanner where you could fit an 1/2" extension bar to which was better but you don't see them anymore.
  10. Yeah were getting there as British Rail used to say
  11. Fitted some of the fuel lines in today just need to get a couple of supply pipes for fittings to make new supply pipe and a return pipe, then I tried fitting the front shocks fitted one then found out the N/S/F spring plate was the wrong on for the car as the shocker is to close to the swivel housing flange and I didn't even notice it when I fitted the springs so I need to buy the correct one now
  12. Did a bit more Saturday and today, Saturday I removed the old oil cooler pipes ready for the new ones arriving soon, I also removed the 300tdi radiator to make way for a new 200tdi radiator as when I fitted the fan belt I was struggling to get a few months ago now I noticed that the bottom hose wouldn't fit as the fan belt was stopping me to fit the hose in place so as the new 200tdi radiator arrived today I fitted it straight away and re-routed the bottom hose to fit the new radiator then I fitted the new rear mud flaps that I ordered as well, couldn't fit the fronts as the wings need fitting but i'm ready for fitting the yet, will post pic's later
  13. Some pic's of mine from Ashcroft earlier this year
  14. Yeah I've only seen that with the Halo ones so not sure really, will have to find out before I buy 😉
  15. Hi guy's I'm just in the middle of getting a parts list together ready for the big push to get my 2a finished hopefully by mid summer this year and just wondered if its legal to fit L.E.D bearmach crystal clear headlights to my 1970 2a as I had the same headlights on my Defender and I really liked them, any idea's please
  16. Only in roof where the old lining was, nothing planned for the engine bay think its a waste of time and money to be honest. Was looking for something else and came across the spring so thought i would put it to use as i have seen what happens when them coiled springs on the pumps let go, not good.
