  1. I've seen the price of the BFGs I think the cheapest I've found are 250 quid a shot, to be honest I probably will go with them, they do last, the ones I have now have been with me 5 years and will probably do the same again to be honest and thats with every day use. I'll apologise to @HawklordI seem to have rather nicked his post
  2. Good man I'll take that on board, not that I've made any choices yet but I can't fault the Goodrich tyres I've got, superb! I'm only listening and taking on board advice from what I have seen on forums, I suppose it'll all be down to personal preference at the end of the day, I still do like the Goodrich
  3. I've always been a big fan of Goodrich, long lasting and at the heady heights of 60mph have always stuck to the road on a fast corner, but it does seem not just from this forum these Toyo tyres seem to have quite a following and having a quick look are virtually half the price. That's a nice looking wagon fella, hope there wasn't any horrible sod pulling you on the no parking bit, weren't you paying attention😁
  4. I like the look of them, they fill the wheel arch nicely but don't look like your trying to say I've got FO tyres, only my opinion of course
  5. So what's the story on an ex MOD middle 80s 110 LT77? Are they different? I was told they were the same as the early Defender and only went back to what the ratio the transfer box was or whatever diffs the military see fit to put in place
  6. I actually borrowed a mates set for about an hour and it did seem to work well but I couldn't put it through every scenario I wanted to, it would be a bit of a cheek to ask to use them for a week or so, plus @vulcan bomber gave me a set of 33s back at Xmas time but only 4, I know your going to say I only need 4 but knowing my luck I'll get a puncture and be stuck on the side of the road for god knows how long getting it repaired, like I say thanks again I appreciate the information, all the best Steve
  7. Thanks for getting back, that's my 110 at the moment, a disco 200, defender lt77 and a 1:4 230 so it's good to hear it works, I get a bit lost in all these ratios and just wanted to be clear before I spend a thousand quid plus to find it doesn't work, all the best Steve
  8. That's a nice looking wagon fella, I've been toying with the same size tyre, just curious what ratio transfer box are you running
  9. Did one last weekend in the throws of a cam belt change, very little trouble doing it, just the obvious, don't go ramming screwdrivers in the orifice without paying attention
  10. Don't know if it can be done situ, his video was done on a bench I'm assuming for ease of explaining it all I'm guessing,
  11. I watched the brittanica restoration video on the exact same thing a day or so ago, i have the same thing going on,the way he plays it it seems a simple enough thing, mind you so is changing a wheel until it comes of the jack
  12. I've no idea what thread they are off the top of my head but I have two axles sat in the yard, if it turns out that they are some obscure thread and you've got to order 100 to gain two let me know and I'll send a few on
  13. Not than I can speak for everyone, but don't stop on my behalf, I'm fascinated, keep it coming
  14. Thanks for the info aswell fella, albeit the old 110 it's going on is basically a yard wheelbarrow and I should consider myself lucky it has a steering wheel let alone an exhaust, but noted thank you
  15. Thanks for all the info there that's great, it actually isn't going to be used for a winch, hopefully if all goes to plan we're going to run a log splitter off it so they'll be no real force just to turn a hydraulic pump, I've sort of had it apart but stopped again what with everything else going on, nice plug for your broken one😁, how broken is it and how much do you want for it?
  16. @vulcan bomber I know its been a bit of time since I bought your bit, done my cam belt along with a dozen other things that needed doing plus your boost ring thing, what a difference mate, felt a could deal more responsive from the off, night and day to be honest, if this makes sense it felt more industrial and tighter in its whole response to the throttle, good man anyhow, happy Easter mate
  17. Jesus fella, you said the other day you had sorted all that out, they are lethal to be fair and to be used only with respect, not that I'm trying to make light if it go on that YouTube site and have a look at the disasters that can happen, care and caution all the time with those bloody things mate, I think most would agree
  18. Thank you @Daan that's handy to know, I didn't think it could be to complicated just airing on the side of caution really, it's nice to know nothings going to fly out at me
  19. Thank you fella, unfortunately thats the one I have, there's some good information on there but at the risk appearing ungrateful not the strip down bit I'm after, thanks for your effort mate, especially on a Sunday, all the best
  20. Thanks Mike, don't bust a gut over it but if you do come across it that would be handy
  21. I've managed to find a file from superwinch with part numbers, drawings and how to use it but @FridgeFreezer nothing to do with dismantling it, I can't imagine it's going to be rocket science but it's always nice to have something to look at with torque settings and suchlike
  22. A drop one fella, forward facing, would be great if you have, let me know, thanks
  23. I'm looking for a workshop book or maybe a pdf file on a pto that fits an lt230 the easiest way if nobody minds me adding a file from another forum is to read that and if anyone has any info would be appreciated, ive spoke to a fella called Rob at LROE and he's going to get back to me but hasn't as yet and I suppose impatience has got the better of me as it would be nice to get at it this weekend, all the best guys
  24. Nice one fella, thanks for the update
