Truck and trailer are roughly the same length.
We are back at the tunnel now so just the train and English stint to do.
Jez has collected the TLC but unfortunately it has done a bearing on the way back hopefully he's due home soon.
Just heard jez has got the land cruiser home, let the ambulance conversion begin.

Good to see you arrived well. Hope you have a few minutes to spare to pop by this weekend!
We're hoping to set off tomorrow before lunch so we should have time to pop in.

Thanks ed between work and other commitments I'm a bit short on spare time to come up at the moment (though we have been trying to make time to come up honest). I'll see what comes up locally if not perhaps later in the year once I've cleared a few jobs .

@Hybrid_From_Hell - please could you do whatever is needed to allow me access to the IVA section? I’m currently (albeit slowly) building a Tornado which I’m intending putting through IVA to create a road legal vehicle and could do with any info, hints and assistance that might be to hand?
Have you read my ibex build? I built mine to go through M1 IVA (car not commercial). Feel free to pm me if you have questions. @TSD is also building an ibex to go through IVA. To be honest I just built mine with the IVA manual in one hand.

Sounds like the cable has rubbed through and is shorting out somewhere. The gauge works by connecting to earth (engine block) via a variable resistor (the resistor being the sender) so if the cable shorts to earth the gauge reads hot. Equally if the cable breaks or gets disconnected it doesn't read at all.

Admittedly it was a disco 200tdi but I've had a timing chest crack around the idler bearing which allowed the belt and bearing to hit the front cover. It made a tapping noise and wrote off a belt bearing and front cover.

Last time I did this I moved the gearbox and tbox back enough on jack's etc to get my hand in there. The creak you discribe sounds like the arm to ball, so yeah your going to have to get in there.

Thank you and conveniently I'll have a trailer at yours on Sunday..... .......... hopefully, if they let us back in.

I don't think kill you quite covers it, I think bury you alive somewhere unpleasant is closer. Seeing as it's taken a month and change of destination to convince her.

I'm fairly sure Discovery 200tdi used O rings both ends, but definitely the radiator end is.

The floor paint seems to be holding up just. I've finished tidying up the front now to keep the wife/neighbors happy.
Inside, I've retrieved the rest of my tools, spares and bench. I've been slowly clearing a space removing the original shed wall then put stuff back in its correct home. I've done ⅔ but now run out of racking I'm thinking something like pallet racking so I can put bikes under it. But this is beyond my budget at the moment and that side still has the old shed wall there.
Excuse the mess (still working on homing/selling a lot of it) but gives you an idea of the space I have.

From memory without measuring I think it was this one.

I got some from Woolies it just pushes in and stays there due to the small lip on the channel.

Good progress Jeff.

As far as I know the only difference is earlier 110 have the self leveler but that's part of the ball joint housing.

The mud sheild is a good idea as they can come loose. The felt washer (#2) and a new nyloc are also worth it. I wouldn't bother with the circlip or spacer.

I haven't got a tomcat any more but the names definitely staying.
Are you ever going to do anything with the csk or is it just sat there. If you use it keep it, if it's sat there and unlikely to get touched sell it and use the proceeds to finish one or more of the others.

Don't tell @FridgeFreezer you have that he gave up trying to find the correct angle and therefore a reamer.

I'm working on the theory that once Munro have sorted their EV ibex, either Munro or foers are likely to offer a retro fit kit to fit mine. This will likely fit the 110 too. However this will only be when I have no choice as whilst I don't want to get rid of either viability will play a major role.

This thread doesn't stand a chance.
Some folks like manuals, some folks like autos, both have pros & cons, both can be made to do whatever you want, so pick whatever you like and go with it.
There is no right answer - just like the 1000 other times this argument has come up.
Who are you. What have you done with fridge! Start talking like that you'll be liking diesels next.
Personally putting an auto behind your engine seems a crying shame. Just sort the clutch. Gearbox if you need to.

The single biggest issue is people in general have got lazy. How many actually walk anywhere let alone to work/school. I mean I opened a customer's car boot yesterday press a button and it opened for me seriously when did a gas strut become inadequate. More over if you ditched all the electrical lazyness from an electric car it would weigh half a ton less and go 50 mile further on a charge.
