not for defenders

got the normal copper stuff, was having a read on that kunifer pipe, seems good, but il stick to the old type stuff, tried using a flare spanner on the nuts and still rounds the nuts so i need a new t-peice all good jobs on a landy..

will that be the same as 1989 - 90? cheers

which unions do i need? also what size brake pipe do i need is there different thickness ones? cheers

do the engine covers reduce much noise or are they not worth bothering with? ( 200tdi disco engine )

i ran my 90 for a day with out a filter or the pipe on, all seemed fine, just dont go through puddles or muck or dust..

I found it rather hard to take the gearbox out, i took seats n seatbox out all floors, props off, was hard lifting the gearbox back in, would of been better if id of had 2 long scaffold batterns and tressels then the gearbox could of sat on the batterns while changed the rear seal.. i found it easier to change clutch wen engine was out but id removed radiator and intercooler.. swings and roundabouts should be able to do it in a day if you put ur mind to it, also get a good socket set as said above, also a little breaker bar would come in handy Also i reccomend borg and beck / Ap

had a listen to me mates shogun with a 3 inch straight through pipe and blimey it gave me a headache when he reved it guess i was just unlucky, thought on the slip he gave me it put replace silencer, and take it for mot, so if i put a backbox on it should be fine, as its got a box on,, we shall see, i dont really want to get another middle box as i just bought the straight through pipe from steve parker, and my rear pipe needs replacing as it looks a tad rotten,

200tdi disco in to a 90.

erm, i removed the backbox a few weeks after my mot, which was last march, then last november i got a straight through middle pipe, as my middle box was gettin past its sell by date, but soon as i fitted it i didnt really like it just put up with it, think im just going to get a replacment pipe which includes the backbox, and hopefully it should be ok, rest of the exhaust is new. with a straight through it does give it a nice roar, but its a landrover not a ferrari so its not really needed is it..

i wasnt having a dig, just put quote so to show i was answering your question, its vosa for you there always right, but il get it sorted and put a backbox on, it is a little too loud for my liking just not got round to changing it.

Its not as loud as some of my mates cars, just when you set off, he followed me for ages, and said the only time it was really noisey was when i pulled out of a junction, and jason my wipers broke the other week just havent had time to fix them and i am not bothered them looking round it, read my original post, will a backbox make it queit enough?

Nope they didnt do a sound check, but as one of my wipers dusnt work, and i dont have a horn, i didnt want to get arsey but i might take it to a garage n get it sound checked
